Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of spices, caramel malts, and some rye. Flavor is strong with the rye and spices. Overall not really that bad. Strykzone (7659) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Sampled at esbls. Clear golden. Malts are light but are what I taste the most. Rye, maybe a little but not enough. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is rye, wheat and citrus. Taste is sweet with herbal tartness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, seemed a little flat for the style.

A dark golden color with a white head. The aroma uhhh woah. It smells like a used bong, sage, citrus, coriander, 3 day old orange chicken, and wet grass. The flavor is somewhat better than the aroma but not a whole lot. Way way too many spices going on with one. Some citrus, rye, sage?, ginger, old bread, coriander. This beer is all over the place. I’ve enjoyed most from the SA summer pack so far, but not this! wildbeercat (359) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 30, 2013
12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a Blue Moon glass. Served cold.
Aroma: Lots going on here. Definitely some spiced orange. There’s some rye presence here too. Very strong aroma.
Appearance: Hazy, somewhat translucent, burnt yellow. Sudsy white head that fizzes away slowly.
Taste: Rye is the dominant flavor in this one. It’s backed up by that nice spiced orange, but it’s mostly rye. Interesting.
Palate: Medium body, decent finish. Flavors hang around a little bit.
Overall: Very interesting beer. Unlike anything I’ve had. It’s an adventure! It’s really tasty too.

Aroma: The aroma is very rye, with a pretty big spice component, and some citrus as well
Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow-golden color with a white head and some lace
Flavor: The taste has a lot of spice and rye, with some citrus sweetness, and mild bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, and it has an alright feel, but not a great one
I actually found this one to be pretty interesting. I liked the way the rye and spice components worked here even though they ended up dominating the rest of the components. Still, this was a decent beer, but not a standout.
From the summer mixpack.. hazed golden.. short lasting white head with little lacing.
The nose is sage heavy, I thought at first it was cardamom.. peppery and light sweet citrus zest..
Despite all the weird spices and herbs, I think this is pretty tasty..
Light body and medium carbonation make for a burpy brew, but it is still tasty... would work well with authentic Thai. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of coriander and orange citrus. Taste is lightly bitter. The rye spice really comes out along with the coriander and orange citrus. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively, mouth-filling carbonation and a very long rye-spice finish. Overall, really good. Not what i was expecting but i would absolutely buy a 6er of this. jeremytoni (3083) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - APR 29, 2013
From a bottle poured an amber color with a small amount of head. Light bitter malty flavor with a quick finish. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - APR 28, 2013
12oz bottle. Rating #66. Hazy gold/yellow pour with a white head. Spicy coriander aroma, a little earthy. Bitter orange peel flavor and a spicy rye thing going on. Interesting. (2719)
