COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Innocent yet beguiling, this hazy golden brew appears to be a classic wittier with its bright notes of orange citrus & coriander, but there’s a bit more mischief up its sleeve. Behind its sweet exterior lies an intriguing blend of white sage and rye for an earthly, spicy, and thoroughly refreshing brew.

Hazy and golden with not so good head retention. Good balance of sage and malt in the aroma. Rye on the palate backed by a decent hop flavor and earthy notes.Finishes nice with lingering hops and sage, not too overpowering. Very low bitterness from the hops. Super awesome.

For a wit beer, the aroma is phenomenal and very odd. The rye and sage come through very strong. Aroma is sage, flavor is sage peppermine with a light rye bite and citrus flavor. A very unique beer. I’d be proud to invent this. Not my favorite but better than most Sam Adams for me. Head that looks nice and fades. I would like a decrease in sage, and then I think it would be amazing. I think this may be a better winter wit beer.

Bottle: Bright golden color with a finger of white head. Aroma is floral an herbal and rye, but the light scent of sage is a sign of things to come. I found the presence of sage in the flavor to overwhelm the entire taste... some florals and more sage. Too much sage.

Interesting orange/yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is sage, citrus, kind of savory. Flavor is dominated by sage and savory notes. Coriander and citrus. They made what they said they made, but the result is not that great. And why would you hide a nice rye base behind all of that fluffery.

Got a 12 ounce bottle from the Sam Adams summer mix pack. Pours a hazy gold, with white head. Aroma of sage, coriander and spices. Taste is complex: oranges, coriander, and maybe a hint of Rye. Well blended and drinkable. Not my favorite, but not too bad.

A hazy dark gold brew with a citrus and coriander aroma. Tastes like a heffeweizen with lots of orange zest in it. That was about all I could taste at first was orange and coriander. Had to really let it set to even pick out the sage. If there is rye in it the coriander overpowers it so bit of a waste using rye. It is a good brew overall and worth drinking.

Bottle from a summer mix box at the in laws for 4th of July. Pours a pale to light yellow with big head. Aroma is Belgian spice and a sage bomb. Sage again goes in every which way in the taste. Nice for a summer coastal California day. Not great but fine to drink from the bottle when it is free.

Golden color with white head. Citrus coriander and save aroma. Crisp citrus and corriander flavor with sage finish. Different but good.

Another solid but unremarkable seasonal from Sammy. Clear light golden pour, medium carbonation. Nose of grain, citrus, and modest rye. Wouldn’t have pegged this as a wit, since the combo of elements gave it a moderately hoppy impression. Taste is unassuming, with kind of perfunctory rye, thankfully modest sweetness, and a reasonably dry finish. Okay.
