Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

Ratman197 (14974) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 18, 2007
Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of boysenberry and a hint of cereal. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of cereal, dough and light boysenberry with a crisp fruity finish.

Bottle from Dilly Deli. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a large white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Heavy sweet berrry pie aroma. Medium body with thin texture. Moderate sweet berry pie flavor with a smooth moderate sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting but to sweet.

(12oz bottle) Medium white head atop lightly hazed straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, strong berry, light wheat. Taste is moderately sweet, grape, berry, some wheat. Light-medium body, light fruity stickiness.

Lubiere (13992) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2007
A hazy blonde ale with a thin white head. A very chemical berry aroma, like cereals for kids. In mouth, a light wheat beeer with light undefined berries. Light bodied. Bottle at 11th Annual CNY Brewfest, Feb.5 2007.

3.2
Dogbrick (13145) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2007
Cloudy orange color with a medium thick and fluffy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Spotty lacing. Sweet berry and malt aroma. Light, crisp body with a tart fruit character. Boysenberry is propped up by some malt and wheat flavors. The finish is clean and fruity with touches of wheat and mild hops. Overall the beer is slightly above average, and despite not being a brew I would seek out again, it is nice to see a mainstream brewer introducing unique styles like this.

bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAR 2, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of boysenberries (reminiscent of Clearly Canadian). Flavor of malty breadiness, wheat, nuts, and berries.

hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2007
12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of chock full of berries (all different types of berries). I would have really been into the aroma, but there was this aroma of perfume in there as well that was throwing me off. Tastes of berries (lighter than the aromas), cereal, and wheat.

jcwattsrugger (12465) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - SEP 28, 2007
12oz bottle-pours a big creamy off white head and cloudy gold color. Aroma is fruity-boysenberry. Taste is sweet, fruity, boysenberry, creamy wheat, then an unexpected and unpleasant sharpness. OK carbonation.

this one worked pretty well too, but i didn’t like it as much as the new blackberry wit because a) the wheat beer underneath was not quite as good and b) the boysenberry was sweeter and slightly more cloying than the black..."

Bottle. A strong boysenberry malt aroma (like a strawberry/sweet raspberry). Hazy amber with larger head. Since I never have tasted boysenberries before, I’ll make a giant leap and say this tastes like boysenberries which I would describe as a mixture of strawberries, raspberrries and black cherries. LIght malty flavor - maybe the slightest hint of hops at the finish. A nice enough fruit beer - my mother-in-law will love it.
