COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

"this was an interesting beer, although not one of my favorite SA offerings. like the blackberry wit...fresher on tap most likely, but i won’t find that here, so all in all, a refreshingly unique, but just about average, beer experience."

On top there is a small (one finger thick) off white head. It quickly settles down to a thin ring of foam that leaves behind some lace rings on the glass. Its aroma is fruity, spicy, and tangy with notes of wheat and citrus as well. The flavor has a nice wheat malt base with orange citrus notes, tart cranberry and solid dose of fine Saigon cinnamon. Hop favor and bitterness are very mild. It finishes dry with wheat tang and spice. The texture is lively with plenty of soft carbonation in a medium body.

Bottle purchased in a Las Vegas liquor store. Hazy amber beer. Short lived suddy white head. Orange and cranberry dominate the soft dry palate. Spice is here to. Would have preferred more fruit and less spice. Okay.

Billicus (291) - @RED BHUT JOIKIAS!, Paulsboro, New Jersey, USA - MAR 1, 2012
aroma, cinnamon, criutsy fruity nose, color, hazy golden amber hue, frim white head taste, spice on the front, mild cinnamon, orange, almost like cranberry bread, slight bitter cranberries. overall, mush better that the cranberry lambric which I was afarid this would taste like, good stuff.
