Not really so much of a fruit beer, as the grape is quite subtle if apparent as grape at all. I took this as more of a brown ale / bitter blend, with a sweet, caramel, malty front, and a curious bitterness in the finish. Perfectly drinkable, especially for someone who likes a sweet palate. williamherbert (1546) - Syracuse, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2009
Color is a clear caution-light yellow/orange. Thin 1/4 finger of head. No carbonation to be seen.
The smell has hints of sweet and dark berry. Smooth honey. Darker notes of grape; sweet but rich. Aromatic berry wafting above the glass. No pale malt to speak of, per se.
The taste is slightly sour grape, with a richer dark second wave. Hints of juicy grape, balanced by some dry pale and crystal malts.
Medium bodied feel; leaves a juice-like coating on the tongue. Actually quite nice. It’s a highly drinkable, berry-laden brew. Not overly sweet. It’s just dark enough. ghostmonkey (204) - budd lake, New Jersey, USA - OCT 16, 2009

Hmmm... of the hundreds of submitted beers, this was the winner? It’s okay, but definitely nothing special... not by a... longshot! haha! TheOrange (479) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2009
The pour is orange-ish pink-ish hued. The head is white and sudsy. The aroma is slight hoppy with sweet characteristics... The only reason you think there may be a grape aroma is due to the name. The beer is pretty high in carbonation, light. the grape flavor is dry and crisp. The finish is not as sharp as I would like, and there is a touch of lingering aftertaste. I’m not a fruit beer guy....

Bottle. An amber body with an off white head. Thin with a fruity grape start with some subtle woodiness and caramel malt. Mmm SA never makes great fruit beers, im sure this was much better small batch. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - APR 29, 2009
Strange and exactly what it says. Grape juice flavored beer. A bit sweet and odd tasting. Not much balance just sweet grape and fruit sugars. rustbucket0873 (460) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2009
the body is is and amber color with a very large head, and lots of co2 bubbles. the aroma is malty, and fruits. the over all taste is is weird, it is sweet and caramel with a grape finish. overall this is one of hte better longshots that i have had.. Kevin (2200) - Montana, USA - MAR 30, 2009
murky brown body with a thick long lasting cream colored head. nose is malt, like sticking my nose in a mash tun. very sweet flavor that i enjoy. caramel flavor dominates in a good way. a bit of green grape is there in the finish. love the sweetness.
