Jeremy White, who works in the IT department at Samuel Adams, channeled his love of Belgian beers to create his Lemon Pepper Saison, a classic Belgian-style brew. Jeremy’s flavorful, refreshing and lighter-bodied beer is brewed with Grains of Paradise, an exotic tropical spice also found in Samuel Adams Summer Ale. The peppery flavor is complemented by a slightly sweet aroma with hints of vanilla and citrus, making this beer the perfect cool down to a hot summer day.

Bottle. Clear dark golden with a sticky egg white head that leaves lots of lace in it’s wake.
Aroma is dough, wheat, banana, and sweet fruit.
Slightly sweet, banana, wheat, slight spice.
Nice, summer brew.

Nice light spicy aroma. The beer looks good. Flavor is light, certainly has some of the normal belgian spices you come to expect. A tasty light brew, that doesn’t have much on the lemon, which is good.

Pour is a bright gold with a large white head. Aroma is as advertised. Lots of citrus with a bit of white pepper. Flavor is kinda a let down. Some lemon grass with a bit of dry malts and that’s about it. No real pepper or funk show up at all. I wanted to like this one but it was not to be.

Jblauvs (1357) - Chester, Vermont, USA - APR 11, 2010
golden pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet, lemon grass, some hay, a bit wheaty, I suppose a touch of black pepper. Flavor is sweet, some light yeastiness, lemon zest, grass, vanilla, a bit spiciness, wheat. A bit muddled but overall not bad.

Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - APR 10, 2010
Slightly sweet aroma, reminiscent of a wheat beer. Pours a clear amber, with just a cap of white head. Slightly sweet taste, with a bit of spice. Easy drinking, and something that should work well during summer.

halfonit (1412) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - APR 9, 2010
Pours a clear golden color. Aroma is basically of malts, wheat, citrus, and a little lemon peel. Flavor is of malt, wheat, slight lemon, leather, and earthiness. Leaves a leathery aftertaste that is unpleasant at first, but after a couple of seconds, you can warm up to it. I really wish I could taste the pepper in it.

BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 9, 2010
Bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours with a clear golden body and a white head. Aroma of styrofoam, pepper, hops and dryness. Taste is citrus, pepper and dryness. Creamy carbonation. Well attenuated saison.

dwaggs2 (1298) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - APR 8, 2010
From the bottle. Poured a light yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was grass, lemon, and sweet malts. Flavor was fruity, with pepper and lemons. Decent, but nothing to special.

bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 6, 2010
(Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, grass, white pepper, and light herbs. Flavor of white pepper, herbal, subtle florals, and some lemon.
