Good summer beer. The strawberry aroma was strong and fresh. Champagne color that had particulates at the bottom of the bottle. Crisp clean palate with a somewhat dry finish. Refreshing blend of strawberries and pilsner malt. Not overly sweet. It is better cold and not too gimmicky. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Speckled golden straw yellow with a large mammoth wispy head. Nice at firs with strawberries, cream, shortcake and sweet malt. Taste adheres to the law of diminishing returns though. After a few sips, I don’t really want anymore. Sweet and almost cloying with strawberries and bready malt. bradleysaurus (51) - - NOV 19, 2013

Pours slightly hazed gold, with a tall, off-white head.
Aroma is natural strawberry (complete with shortcake)
Taste is more of the shortcake, lesser strawberry....
bread, wheat, candy.
Initially, very good....but finishes a little grainy and grassy.

(12oz bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry shortcake, citrus, and bubble gum. Flavor of grain, strawberry candy, and biscuit. SamP01 (668) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium white head, slowly fading with some light lacing. Aroma is strawberry, some light biscuit malt and grains. Taste same as aroma, mostly biscuit malt and grains with light bitter tones. A light body, crisp with good carbonation. There are some light notes of strawberry flavor on the end. Could use a bit more strawberry but still a good refreshing summer brew. MacBoost (1934) - Victor, New York, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Pretty artificial strawberry in the nose but the flavor is where it redeems itself. Pours a standard pale lager look. Aromas of strawberry candy. Taste of strawberry purée mixed with a pale lager. Not fucken bad. Thanks BROsmer. dogfish120love (1339) - Westfield, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Pours straw in color. Quite a bit of flocculation for a Sam Adams product. Notes of strawberry and lemon. Faintly tart Alextricity (509) - Michigan, USA - SEP 9, 2013
Drink by August 2013. Poured into a 20oz shaker pint.
Appearance: Pours a hazy, somewhat chunky amber color. Gigantic, fistful of head due to the aggressive pour... eventually falls to about three, and finally half. Head is pillowy, and the lacing is great. One of the best lagers I’ve seen.
Smell: Definitely strawberries in there, with a spicy hop note to make things a bit more interesting. Not much depth, but certainly pleasant.
Taste/feel: Definite lawn-mower type beer like the brewer intended it to be. Starts and finishes smooth with a slightly thicker than water consistency. There’s a lot of strawberry in this beer, for sure, but it’s a mild beer overall. There malts and trace of hops balance it all out pretty well. Virtually no bitterness to speak of.
A respectable beer. I do find it to be a bit light, but then again, that’s what this beer’s purpose is. A sexy looking beer with a pleasant aroma and flavor. The strawberry flavor lingers, and I enjoy it, as it doesn’t taste artificial. Not a great beer by any means, but a tasty one... the ladies and BMC drinkers alike would enjoy sipping on this one, I think. A very good starter’s beer.
