12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a respectable, frothy head that settles to a fine white cap. Delightful aroma of fresh strawberries. First taste fills the mouth with crisp lager flavors buoyed by a lemony sweetness that carries forward into a creamy palate with a hint of strawberry. Don't let the "Strawberry Lager" concept put you off: This is an outstanding summer beer and much better than you would expect. Great job, Dave Anderson!

A clear gold body pours from the bottle and quickly sets up a tall white head.
fragrant strawberry aroma.
Apart from a slight sweetness, there isn’t much flavor of any kind here, much less the strawberry that i was expecting.
Light refreshing lawnmower beer. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 14, 2013
Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor are full of biscuit malt with some fake strawberry notes. Tastes artificial to me. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Cybercat (6046) - Georgia, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a fine-bubbled and rather persistent eggshell head that leaves some generous lacing. Malty aroma has an overtone of tart strawberry that is only a little sweet. Flavor has a malty core, more like an ale than a lager, and a strawberry overtone that is more tart than sweet. I love strawberries! Smooth texture is not very fizzy, but still feels like a beer. Another longshot that’s a winner. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle. Nose is pretty strongly fruit-filled with strawberry (obviously) dominating, but in a way that smells like fresh berries, rather than some weird extract you’ll get in candy. Taste is sweet up front, but with a bit of a tang on the back end. The fruit overwhelms any lager characteristics, which is good, in my opinion.

Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a golden blonde liquid with chunks of sediment floating around while a thick fluffy pillow of foam rested on top. Aroma is shocking and actually smells like a strawberry field or a strawberry smoothie has made my mouth to start salivating. The beer hits different taste buds by starting off with bitter then hitting sweet and ending with salty. There is a slight taste of tart unripe strawberries along with the green top but this comes off as completely real and not artificial like most other fruit beers Sam Adams makes. lamas (1655) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 6, 2013
Bottle. Enjoy before: 08/13. A hazy amber pour with tons of floaties and a thick beige head on top. Loads and loads of tart strawberries dominate the aroma. A light breadiness, some sweet cereal grains, and a fair amount of honey in the mix too. Very appetizing. Thin to medium-bodied and crisp on the way down. Caramel and sweet cereal grains are present upfront taste-wise. Juicy strawberries dominate thereafter. A tad wheaty with a hint of lemon at the end. Packed with lots of strawberry flavor, but at no point do things become too cloying. Very nicely done. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a slight but persistent white head. Fairly thick lacing. Big sweet strawberry aroma. Taste is tart, sweet strawberries. A bit of cereal but not a lot. By far the best from this longshot sixer. could drink a few of these n a warm summer day. would probably got awesome with some BBQ. superspak (5891) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 27, 2013
12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 8/2013. Pours very cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big ripe strawberries, pear, light bread, light honey, and light floral hops. Very nice aromas with big strawberry presence; and good strength. Taste of lightly tart strawberries, pear, cracker, bread, floral, light honey, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of strawberry, pear, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light honey, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance of strawberry, malt, hop, and yeast esters; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good fruited lager style. Very nice balance of flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering. nimbleprop (8723) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 25, 2013
12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some thin, white head. Nose like strawberry toothpaste, sickly sweet. Scary flavor, gross, strawberry shampoo, creamcicle. Gross finish.
