Pours a dark murky brown with a medium head. The aroma is a real smack in the face. Big clove, bubblegum, ripened fruits and spicy malt. Wonderful. Flavor is malts, spice, clove, bananna. What a suprise this was. Thank you Mr. Kibzey.
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Rich creamy dark wheat beer that does exactly what it says on the label. Banana, cloves and cream. Very drinkable.
Eh...well, o.k. Hazy off-brown color. Abundant aroma, unidimensional with grape being the leading note. Decent drinking, flavor having some additional layers, but leaning much more to the fruit, without adequate complementary spices. Fine, but only fine.

It’s a murky opaque mahogany with a dense and creamy brown head that leaves sheeting lace behind. Sweet strong aroma of ripe banana and cloves, rich maltiness and just a hint of lemon in the nose.
Tastes of rich malt, banana estery flavors, lemony and spicy, especially clove and pepper. Rounded body and not nearly as full and sticky as I expected. Fairly clean finish for a weizenbock but a light sticky malt finish and aftertaste lets you know the beer was there.
Really, really good beer. It’s got to be right up there behind Aventinus as the second best weizenbock I’ve tasted and there’s certainly no shame in finishing second to that beer.

A dark reddish-brown color. Large puffy head. Wonderfully thick and cloudy. Light makes it a bit reddish on the edges.
The smell is a really nice burnt hefeweizen aroma. A burst of spicy alcohol. You can smell that bubbly, Belgian aroma. Smoky with a hint of citrus/orange peel.
The taste has an initial burn of spicy alcohol. Second run of heavy, dark Belgian spice. A nice mellow citrus ends it. Some roasted wheat malts as well.

Deep from the back recesses of our second fridge, I find the 2008 Long shot. I hope this is still about the same taste as it would have been a year ago. The pour is a dark mahogany, with a medium light brown head. Aroma is buttery and wheaty. The flavor is true to the aroma with a nice molasses character. The finish is slow and satisfying. Good beer.
