Samuel Adams is bringing you Maple Pecan Porter. A nutty syrupy porter that just reeks of New England.
Sweet New England maple syrup and a distinct pecan note define this balanced porter. The roasted character of our blend of malts complements the maple sweetness with hints of coffee and chocolate. Reddish-black in color, this full-bodied brew has a sweet and slightly nutty finish.

Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate maple syrup, light smoke, roast, and faint pecans/nuts. It pours a dark brown with some faint orange transparency. It has a one finger khaki head that quickly fades to a thin film and leaves behind some thin webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a combination of light-moderate maple syrup, chocolate, and caramel. The finish has light-moderate roast, some light nuttiness from the pecans, and just a hint of smoke. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a solid Porter, but it’s not as good as I was hoping...nor as sweet as I had feared.

This Sam Adams beer is very nutty and full bodied. It is loaded with flavor and feels like you are drinking a meal. A nice beer and a good addition to a full collection of beers.

Definitely an aroma of maple and pecan. The appearance seemed a bit light for a porter. Medium body with a slight bitterness. Overall a nice beer during the winter for me.

Bierkrug (2129) - - JUN 27, 2013
330 ml bottle in New York, USA. It pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is light roast, maple, some pecans and a touch of vanilla. The taste was pretty much the same with roastiness and some maple added. It had a subtle pecan flavor and was thin on the palate as well. OK

pours a very dark brown almost black, aroma is straight up maple syrup. cocoa, and pecan. really defined by the syrup. the flavor is the same as it smells, maple syrup through out, with chocolate, and roasted malts, finishes with pecan then maple syrup again. for what it sounds like this is a pretty good beer. the palate is medium to a lighter heavy.. I would recommend it for a winter style beer.

BelgianBeerGal (4039) - Panama City, Florida, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle from Zac. This started with a nice base porter that was not covered up by the flavor additions. Nice bits of coffee plus some nuttiness. Maybe a hint of metal in the middle but nice overall and nice ABV.

HeistAlmighty (1156) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - JUN 8, 2013
355ml bottle. Brownish red colour, moderate almond head. Smells like a maple pecan coffee, if such a thing exists, maybe a hint of soy sauce. Taste is like a maple nut chocolate from like a Christmas box of chocolate, light porter coffee. Crisp body. Overall, this is what it says it is, a maple pecan porter.

Bottle. Sweet, syrupy aroma. Average carbonation. Deep reddish brown color. Sweet, syrupy caramel porter flavor. Bitter finish. Definitely a dessert beer. About as good as it gets for a bottle porter.

Shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Poured brown with a beige head. Nose of nuts and maple syrup. Medium body. Smooth in the mouth. Flavor is very rich with maple first, then nuts, and chocolate following . Finish is roasted nuts. Very tasty.
