I don’t know, I guess I expected more. I wanted to try this one a lot but I was a bit disappointed with it. Its still good though, kinda sweet StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - MAR 8, 2013
12 oz bottle from a mixed case. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head that slowly recedes to a splotchy film. The aroma is mild with sweet maple syrup, roasted grains and some earth. The taste favors the maple flavor in a big way; lots of maple syrup with a bit of nuts, cocoa and vanilla. The palate is just a bit thinner than I prefer in a porter and the carbonation is soft. Finishes long and cloying with sweet maple sticking around. Overall: Fans of maple syrup will love this one. AndyW68 (1542) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Quality is there. Brown pour with tan head. Aroma is nutty with a little coffee back. Tatse is bitter, nutty and maple. Good, but not my taste. GMUcrew7 (577) - Mason, Ohio, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Dark pour with a light creamy head. The aroma is much like its name, nutty with a taste of maple syrup. Initial flavor is roasted and nutty with a sweet finish from the syrup. Medium body, the flavor is a little too sweet for my liking for a porter. finn1918 (234) - Georgia, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Pours a deep black with ruby highlights and a 1-finger tan head. Aroma is pecan pie and maple syrup/pancakes. Taste is fairly typical porter with some dark nuts, coffee, and maple hints... nowhere near as overpowering as the aroma. Sweet and *almost* bitter finish. Nice thick mouthfeel, but not too syrupy. This is an interesting dessert beer.

Appearance: Pours a dark caramel.
Aroma: Aroma of maple syrup, light pecan.
Taste: Light roast, sweet from maple, some pecan, faint chocolate.
Palate:Medium body, flat carbonation, short finish.
Summary: Not a bad porter, but the amount of different flavors muddles it a little bit.
A bit on the syrupy side, but I guess that’s to be expected from the name and description. Tasty stuff, though, just a bit like artificial pecan sweetener you’d put in coffee or something. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with an aroma of maple syrup, pecan, light caramel, roasted hazlenut, and Coke. Flavor is a rush of soda-infused maple and pecan with a finish of sweet nuts, roasted carmel, and a small soda biscuit. Decent mouthfeel. Tasty. I’d have another. jdskinns (220) - South Roxana, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Bottle. Pours a reddish brown cola color with a little white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is porter spice and some sweetness and maple. Taste is pretty typical for a porter, very little roast and some maple comes through. A little bit of nuttiness from the pecan. Medium body. jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Pours deep brown almost black with minimal tan head that laces well. Aroma is of maple and pecan with sweet caramel and bit of coffee. Pronounced sweet malt flavor with a hint of bitter coffee. A bit of a weak body though. Finishes sweet and nutty. I do love a refreshing Sam Adams
