Samuel Adams is bringing you Maple Pecan Porter. A nutty syrupy porter that just reeks of New England.
Sweet New England maple syrup and a distinct pecan note define this balanced porter. The roasted character of our blend of malts complements the maple sweetness with hints of coffee and chocolate. Reddish-black in color, this full-bodied brew has a sweet and slightly nutty finish.

I’m not a huge fan of this. Maple syrup doesn’t add the best of elements for me - I don’t necessarily appreciate the overdose of syrupy sweetness here. Some roast malt aroma as well but there isn’t a whole lot of balance here. Bottle.

Sorry but this beer is just not that good. I know it's "cool" to like these exotic flavors and such, and I do like quite a few but this is overpoweringly sweet and over carbonated. -via BBapp

Botella de 355ml. Vaso Nonic. Nonic glass. Pours dark brown in color, with mahogany tints to the light. Tan head leaves a thin layer on top as dissipates. Some lacings are left. Aromas of sweet roasted malts, caramel notes, hints of syrup & dried nuts as well as coffee & chocolate hues. Flavor profile -as expected from aromas- displays caramel & roasted notes, chocolate & coffee infusion touched by herbal sweet syrup. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Silky palate & dried mouthfeel. As it warms, maple syrup increases & lingers into a sweet finish in combination with arising dried nut sensations. Sweetness reaches the edge of cloying but slightly roasted notes & nuttiness hold it back. Interesting Porter that makes me miss a hot Pecan Pie!!

Bottle in variety pack. One of better Sam’s in pack. Definite maple syrup overtones. Better than expected

From bottle. Amazing aroma that reminds me of pecans baking in brown sugar. The sweetness and bite are balanced well. I went into this beer with low expectations and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Good beer to mix into the night but not one that would be a "main" beer of the night.

Bottle. Roasty pecan, light maple, and chocolate/coffee aroma. Deep mahogany with a large beige head. Roasty coffee, astringent nuts, and very light maple flavor. Body on the light side of medium, moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown with creamy beige head, caramel aroma, low carbonation, sweetish coffee beans taste, medium finish. Nice porter.

Smell of maple and spice. Taste of maple but not overpowering. Pretty smooth going down, not to carbonated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
