Bottle. Pours a very dark auburn color with a thick muddy head. Aroma of roasted malt and maple syrup. Taste is typical porter but with the expected sweetness from the maple and slight nuttiness from the pecan. Very tasty.

Sweet and syrupy but not bad from sam. Dark brown red pour. Heavy malts and maple syrup in the nose. Taste adds some toffee and even more sweetness. Not too much nuttiness. Pretty thick mouthfeel. EyeAmBaldman (461) - Illinois, USA - FEB 3, 2014
Pours a translucent dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma is very nutty. The maple flavor comes through so well in this beer. Drinks well with chocolate or caramel desserts. Would be nice to get this in something other than a combo pack. Good beer. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - JAN 31, 2014
1/31/14. 12oz bottle from Publix. Admittedly enjoyed on the warm side. Oh well, wish they had these 12pks cold at Publix. Deep brown pour, clear ruby red under a light, with a big tan head that sticks around and laces surprisingly well. They aren’t lying, maple and nuttiness jumps put in the aroma straightaway, and surprisingly not too overwhelming or fake smelling. Touches of doughiness and caramel as well. More balanced flavor, the maple and nuttiness is there, but more roast pulls through to balance out the sweetness of the syrup. Plenty of doughiness and caramel as well. Surprisingly tasty. Lingers a touch syrupy on the lips and palate. beertholomeus (1813) - California, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Pours a dark amber brown color with a khaki head. Caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, maple syrup and nut aroma. Chocolate, caramel, maple syrup, toffee, roasted malt and nut flavors. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Slightly sweet with a caramel, chocolate and maple syrup finish.

sampler pack Deep brown caramel pour. With aromas of maple, caramel malts and nuts. Taste is very similar to aroma with the exception of the pecan being very up front. A nice dry / moderatley sweet finish. Good. Hopswagger (199) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 25, 2014
P: Deep dark mahogany body with a cappuccino head that dissipates to a thin wake. Spotty lacing grab the sides.
S: Burnt maple syrup, stale coffee, liquid smoke, and roasted candied pecans.
T/M: Taste follows the nose but brings chocolate, loads of vanilla and plums. Taste is similar to kahlua. Silky medium-full body with a kiss if carbonation at the end.
O: Rich and decadent concoction of maple goodness, coffee and chocolate. The nuttiness brings out the natural flavors to compliment the sweetness. Sweetness almost breaches the point of cloying but holds back.

Pours a dark brown with a thick foamy tan head. Lots of maple and molasses on the nose flavor follows. Pretty sweet. Too much so. Overall decent. Block (2688) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JAN 25, 2014
I enjoyed this beer the most out of the 2014 Spring pack. A nice roasted profile with some nuttiness. Smooth with a darker finish. vikingguy (1101) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - JAN 24, 2014
Dark brown. Sugary malt aroma. Taste- I get coffee flavors first followed by maple and caramel. Woodsy, sweet, malty. Very nice sweet porter.
