Samuel Adams is bringing you Maple Pecan Porter. A nutty syrupy porter that just reeks of New England.
Sweet New England maple syrup and a distinct pecan note define this balanced porter. The roasted character of our blend of malts complements the maple sweetness with hints of coffee and chocolate. Reddish-black in color, this full-bodied brew has a sweet and slightly nutty finish.

Big aroma: nutty, sweet, burnt malt and pecans. Flavor is sweet, roasty and burnt.

Amber color, clear on inspection, tall very lasting head little lacing. Characterful nose, nutty. Full body, flavorful, bright mouthfeel, avg length. Very bitter, particularly in the finish, but also malty, Delicious, quality coffee flavor stands out at the attack and continues throughout, followed by nutty, roasty and yeasty tastes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This a very good porter! Has got a flavor full of chocolate/coffee along with the sweet syrup and nut it turns out to be a brew of worth! Surprise to me actually

From a 12 ounce bottle. Smells like maple syrup. Sweet syrup taste. Overall very good beer

Pours a dark brown/burgundy with a creamy tan head. Nose is maple syrup and molasses. Nice and creamy on the palate. The taste is of dark roasted malt with some nuttiness, accented by a touch of molasses sweetness. Finishes fairly dry but not hoppy. A very good porter that is a good companion to brats or chicken breast off the grill.

A great porter by Sam Adams. The maple is perfect, and not overdone. There is still a nice chocolate finish. Very enjoyable beer on a cold winters day!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration notch of June 2014. The pour is mahogany brown with a short lasting off-white head and good clarity. Looks a bit like soy sauce. The aroma is true to the title with a good note of maple and pecans along with darker malts and a bit of smoke. That might be the maple though. The body is just under medium. The taste has more of a maple character than anything else with the pecans and malts more in the background. An odd sort of bitterness.

Looks nice, smells nice, tastes like dirty nasty soy sauce made in a Chinese sweatshop with sweat base.

Really tasty Sam Adams brew. Pours dark brown frothy off white head. Toffee and chocolate aroma. Maple and pecan flavors throughout. Medium body light to medium carbonation. Good mouth feel. Solid.
