Pours a thick dark black color, with a mocha head. Nose is allspice, pumpkin and nutmeg. Taste is full of spices, including but not limited to allspice, cinnamon, pumpkin and nutmeg. Carbonation is soft and texture motor oil heavy. Finishes nicely with same spices and a medium to long duration. Can pour it over ice cream, pies or even roast and baste it on turkey. Pours a dark brown with a brown head and aroma of spices spans ginger. Taste is full of spices, ginger, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, roasted maltnand allspice with a warming, medium finish. Delicious brew with a lot of flavor, great Christmas beer Lemke10 (993) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 8, 2013
This pours a very dark brown color with a medium brown head. There is a semi-malty and spice aroma. The taste is decently bold with mostly malts and spices. It’s fairly decent for a stout, but I was expecting a little different taste for something that was suppose to have gingerbread spices. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JAN 7, 2013
(bottle) Pours jet black with a medium dark tan head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is spice heavy, but not overbearingly so, and this smells quite reminiscent of SA’s Fat Jack Pumpkin Beer. The cinnamon, clove, ginger, and nutmeg are all very prominent and individually detectable, which generally isn’t the case with spice beers. I also think I smell a touch of allspice. There is some hints of roasted malt and dark chocolate that attempt to burble up through the spice mix, and the addition of them to the spice is a welcome combination. The flavor has a fair amount of spices, and does certainly remind one of gingerbread, but the spices in the flavor are harder to detect individually than in the aroma. There’s also a good amount of chocolate here which resembles spiced mocha. The finish holds little kicks of spice that linger on after drinking as well as a crisp hit of wheat right after the mid. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is smooth. ABV is undetectable. Overall this is a really enjoyable beer that I’d like to try again. mcox90 (2120) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 7, 2013
22 oz bottle. Pours black with a 2 finger creamy tan head. Inviting ginger bread and dark malt aroma. Lots of spice too. Nutmeg & cinnamon come to mind. Sweet, yet spicy flavor. Lots mixed in together and it works well. Medium bodied with a creamy palate. Nicely done.

I thought this was great. One of the best Christmas spice products I’ve tried. Liked it a lot. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JAN 6, 2013
