Bottle. Super dark thick pour with a huge head. Lots of gingerbread, nutmeg, with some chocolate on the taste. Very good! hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bottle... A black pour creates a mid-sized, dense, cappuccino-colored head. Good retention. The bouquet presents a malty, spicy medley of deep-roasted barley, caramel, nutmeg, clove, licorice and cinnamon. Full-bodied with a thick, velvety mouthfeel and feathery carbonation. The flavor is a warm hug on a cold winter night - subtle holiday spices, roasted malts, caramel and a whisper of molasses. Balance is nearly perfect and there is no hint of the relatively high abv; zilch. Heart-warming, lightly minerally finish. Nice effort here. Although the ethanol cannot be smelled or tasted, it can certainly be felt. DocLock (11049) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Pours turbid black with tan head. Nose is gingerbread, roasty dark patent malt, cinnamon. Tastes spicy, with cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, cacao, and a rich finish. Not a great flavor here, but a unique holiday beer. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2013
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown / black appearance with a creamy, big dark brown head. Very spicy - clove, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg - aroma along with some dessert like notes. Caramel / chocolate, a touch sweet, very spicy, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger flavor. Too spicy for my taste but not bad overall. marcus (10679) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Bottle from BevMo, Sacramento. Pours dark brown with a decent tan ead and a ginger and treacle aroma. There is a medium-bodied dark molasses flavor with modest ginger flavoring. The spices are appropriate rather than overwhelming.

Draft at Hopjacks Filling Station. Pours a coffee brown with a small beige head. Big spicy aroma. Notes of nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malts. Really works as gingerbread. Light-medium body - a little thin. Mild carbonation. Spicy mouthfeel. Solid. DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 17, 2013
On tap @ Public House in Vegas. Dark brown stout appearance. Aroma is equally sweetly spicy and smokey-- quite surprising. Surprising malty depth to the palate: dark chocolate, roast, and a meaty smokey Bamberg-esque character all support a balanced amount of Christmas spices (nutmeg, clove, ginger). Moderate bitter finish ends things nicely. Surprisingly excellent! onceblind (10572) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 23, 2014
Beautiful black pour under a lasting khaki head.Rich nose of cocoa and ginger and nutmeg and cinnamon and cardamom and something that evokes soft salted pretzels from the movie theater. Big and full flavor with sweet earthy cocoa and cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove and a little more sweet cocoa. Still that bready pretzel tone is present to some degree but without the saltiness. 500mL thanks to radagast83. Deep black pour with a magazine thick coffee head. Thick gingerbread nose, dough, spices. Taste is a tad metallic and butyric harsh acid :( a bit too chemical. A bit boozy. Doesn't quite pull it off. A bit papery and harsh on the palate.
