Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown / black appearance with a creamy, big dark brown head. Very spicy - clove, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg - aroma along with some dessert like notes. Caramel / chocolate, a touch sweet, very spicy, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger flavor. On tap @ Public House in Vegas. Dark brown stout appearance. Aroma is equally sweetly spicy and smokey-- quite surprising. Surprising malty depth to the palate: dark chocolate, roast, and a meaty smokey Bamberg-esque character all support a balanced amount of Christmas spices (nutmeg, clove, ginger). Moderate bitter finish ends things nicely. Surprisingly excellent!

Draft at Hopjacks Filling Station. Pours a coffee brown with a small beige head. Big spicy aroma. Notes of nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malts. Really works as gingerbread. 500mL thanks to radagast83. Deep black pour with a magazine thick coffee head. Thick gingerbread nose, dough, spices. Taste is a tad metallic and butyric harsh acid :( a bit too chemical. A bit boozy. Doesn't quite pull it off. A bit papery and harsh on the palate.

22oz bottle, batch 1, mostly to myself. Black color, good thick lighter brown head. Decent / respectable lace. Really nice nose - definitely gingerbread. Medium to bigger body. Kind of a milky / creamy texture. Light carbonation, more dry. Bitter taste, little sweet, little bite. Love the rich, cake-like aroma in this. Very reminiscent of a gingerbread cookie. Some vanilla. Pour out of 500 mL bottle, dark thick oily black pour with nice creamy mocha colored head, lots of carbonation streaming at first but subsided. Aroma brought notes of nice ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malts, hints of earth, touch of grainy notes, tiny bit of cookie notes. Taste is basically a spiced stout, some fairly nice roast, coffee, and dark chocolate tones mix with some slight earthy ginger, cinnamon, and clove, some slight caramel, grainy tones, finishing fairly sweet but dries out with the roast at the end. The mouthfeel was pretty nice, but was just slightly lacking in depth. Very tasty, and no sign of the 9%.
