Bottle from Capitol Beer. Pours light amber gold with a creamy white head. Light malty aroma with fruity/grassy hop. Med minus body. Flavor is quite mild. Starts with some grassy hop then light roasty malt pops up. Finish is grassy/fruity dry. Bitter enough to scare people 30 years ago?
After reading a book for 15 minutes while not paying attention to what I was drinking, my brain stood up and said "good stuff". So perhaps it’s a bit subtle for those of us used to hop bombs. But it is good stuff. Rating up a bit. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - FEB 12, 2013
12 feb 2013, bottle. yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. nose is slightly sweet malt, faintly skunky lager hops. thin body and moderately fizzy. light caramel malt, mild grassy hop finish. meh. arminjewell (9635) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 11, 2013
Pour out of 12 oz bottle clear yellow-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of cracker, biscuit, buttered bread, hints of grass, spice, slight earthy tones, slight pils malt notes, smells like a decent pilsner. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, biscuit, some vanilla, cracker, slight grass, spice, yeast notes, mixing into a slight odd earthy and grainy hay tone, finishing sweet. Started well. Appearance is a golden color much like a light lager with just a film of a white head. Aroma is very mild with just a hint of malt and very mild hops and lagerish yeast. Taste is a mix of a light flavored ale and a pilsner. Not much going on with a very light mouthfeel and a lot of carbonation. Phatdog1 (179) - Brentwood, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 11, 2013
I was so intruiged by the story on the side of the 6 pack carrier, that I had to purchase this. Hazy amber pour into a S. A. Perfect Pint glass. Aroma of malt, hay & light hops. Slightly sweet upfront, decent malt backbone, subtle hop on the finish. More fizz on the tongue than expected. Left with a funk in my mouth.

Interesting concept beer. It’s a good way to show how far brewing has come over the years. Pours yellow with orange tint. Aroma is earthy/hay. Taste is slightly sweet fruit with a dry finish. glennmastrange (2867) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle. Moderate grain and hay for the malt, light herbs, with faint apple in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with spotty and slippery lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, a bit slick and has a lively carbonation. A nice tasting American Pale Ale. Simple but it does have a nice bite at the end. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 10, 2013
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of soft, pale malts with hints of toast and light floral hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. Was hoping for better. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle from GE express. Pours golden yellow with thin white head. Grassy hop and sweet corn nose. Corn. Lots of corn. Some bread and mild hop flavor, lingering and sticky. Meh.
