Really decent pale ale. Lots of hop character to it. Looked really nice in a glass with the bright golden yellow. Will look at getting more of these next time I am at the store. Nephilium (1807) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Mild malt aroma, pours a clear light straw with a thin white head. Very mild betterness, with some fruit coming through from the malts. Lingering fruit finish, without much bitterness. Light on the palate and thin mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but there’s a lot better out there. Atom (2418) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 8, 2013
12oz bottle pours a clear golden yellow with a large frothy white head. Malty aroma, with grains, yeast, and grassy hops. Taste of mild caramel malts, grains, slight lemon, honey, and light hops, could be more smooth. Not much of a pale ale, more of a pils/lager. ccex (1286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 7, 2013
12 oz. bottle pours a clear golden color with small white head and minimal lacing. Not much to smell. Aroma has some lemon, grass, grains, and faint citrus hops. Body is light to medium. Mouthfeel is crisp with lively carbonation. Taste is almost nondescript. This reminds me more of a kosch than an American Pale Ale. Although this might be an historicallty important recipe, it doesn’t do much for me. I’ve enjoyed many less expensive Sam Adams beers more than this one. Not bad, but recommended only for students of American brewing history. I will not try another 6-pack of this. robloc303 (268) - Erie, Colorado, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Pours hazy yellow. Not much on the nose, just a hint of lemon. Not much going on here. A small taste of wheat and lemon followed by some bitterness. More like a filtered wheat than a pale ale.

Pours sparkling golden with very little head. Faint bready aroma. Decent hop character with a yeasty bread finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and fizzy. Perfectly good pale ale, but not spectacular. Braudog (6675) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Bottle. Pours a golden hue, with a bright white head of solid, tight foam. The aroma is bright and citrusy. This drinks with a rich, creamy mouthfeel, with a snappy, sweet-grassy flavor. A bit "kolsch-y" if you ask me. Light yet flavorful and snappy. (#5006, 5/5/2013) BillWyce (1074) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 4, 2013
From notes: Poured straw color, with a slight haze and a 1-finger white head. Mild citrusy hop aroma. Light-to-medium body, slightly oily with a dry finish. Light flavor, citrusy with some resiny notes as well. badgerben (5121) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Slightly hazy gold color with a small head. Musty, dank, and vegetal aroma. Dry honey flavor. Moderate bitterness. Almost some skunkiness. Full bodied. Zymurgeist2 (2179) - Redwood City, California, USA - MAY 3, 2013
On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Subtle floral hops with a little earth. Slight sweet malt. Clear, pale gold with moderate white head of various sized bubbles. Taste of dirt floor, slight corn and flowers. Have a slightly stinging bite half way through. Some moderate buttering. Slightly astringent.
