Nicely done sammy! Lost points on aroma but scored on eveything else. True porter roastiness but medium on the palate. Finishes dry, long, malty. Hints of choc. This is good. Try it! MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2011 Aroma of a roasted and chocolate malts and a hint of wood.
Mild oak taste, but mostly dry roast, chocolate nuts, and vanilla. The finish was dry and gritty.

Served on draft at Max’s. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of spicy wood, chocolate and roasted malts. The taste is roasted malts, big chocolate notes, toasted wood and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. beergodd1 (400) - Conneaut, Ohio, USA - MAY 27, 2011
4 oz. Sample at the Cleveland Beer Fest on 5/14/11. Pours a clear brown/black with a thin beige head, left a ring around my "Plastic" cup. Malty/Oak smell with hints of chocolate, roast and Coffee. Malty flavor with just a bit of chocolate and a slight Oak, not enough barrel character. Medium body. This was a tasty beer, but seemed to be ....not finished? dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2011
On tap at gingerman plano. Pours dark amber/almost black with a thin light tan head. The aromas are coffee, chocolate, bread and oak. The mouthfeel is watery, bitter and smoke with a medium body. It wasn’t great but it was ok. Cheers!

On tap at Kickbacks. Big oak, big lace, the finish is bitter and a tad astringent. Drying. Still a serviceable porter and glad to catch up to it. j12601 (11000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 9, 2013

(draft @ Tap and Mallet - Rochester, NY) Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Slightly roasted aroma with some very light and subtle oak. Roasted flavor at the start with almost no discernible oak flavors. Decent porter, but couldn’t really tell it was oaked.
