COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

this beer sets the tone for the fall season. Its deep amber color and smell of caramel is what hits you first. Extra smooth mouth feel and caramel finish. I can’t have just one.

We've been tasting a lot of Oktoberfests this season, many of which have been excellent, whereas this one is merely solid. It has a sweet sticky nose of harvest and corn. It looks very orange amber with a thin head. The flavor is smooth malts, some foamy yack, and a light toffee aftertaste. It is easy drinking and pleasant, but lacking in the complexity of some of the other offerings we've had recently. Good for reading a mystery novel outside with your boo boo while waiting to go to Costco on the last day of vacation.

I found this bottle at the drink of the world in Geneva, the day of the Giant statues party in Geneva. I drank it the last saturday at Bonfol, for the aperitive. In my own opinion, it is a classic of the Bavarian Land, coming from Boston and following the tradition. There is nothing exciting but it is fully drinkable, easy and refreshing. Firstly the taste is malty and metalic, hop and I think dry for the style, typical taste of Märzen, a bit watery. The color is copper, clear and the carbonation is normal, thin and white foam. I prefer the märzen of Luzerner brewery but this one is decent.

330ml bottle. Dark amber-brown with off white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, bready malts, nuts, dried fruits and orange. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, sweet dried fruits, nuts and candied orange peel. Medium, very smooth mouthfeel, light to medium carbonation and sweet candied aftertaste with a light bitter touch in the finish.
