4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is of toasted malt though not mightily overpowering. Appearance is a dark amber akin to the colors of the fall in the midwest. Taste is mellow and malty leaving a warm feeling on the palate. The fall season cannot fully begin until this beer hits the shelves. Hopefully Sam Adams will brew this beer for years to come because this is by far their best.
I remember this being sticky and think. quite sweet too. great hearty octoberfest but pricey. gotta compare with newglarus oktoberfest for a definitive test. good shit tho, cant wait till this fall. thekateperhaps () - - JUL 12, 2017

The best of the whole Samuel Adams family. I can’t wait to have that one and from all the kinds they have, the Samuel Adams Octoberfest has the best balance of everything. aphasialiu (49) - TAIWAN - JAN 20, 2017

Clear amber colour with small bubbles head. Bittersweet floral aroma, mainly hops and malt. Bitter taste that slowly sweeps to sweet, caramel notes. Metallic aftertaste, medium to light body. Pleasent, regular according to the style. basaywhat (281) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - DEC 4, 2016
12 oz bottle. pours a dark amber and reddish color. Moderate sweet aroma that is grainy and nutty with balancing toffee, caramel and hints of almond and spices. Taste is similar and a bit too sweet for me but not too bad for an American marzen. demannu (451) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2016
Been drinking a bit before this so....in terms is Oktoberfest this is decent. With that being said, it’s not really my tyle of beer. Malty, not overly sweet. Not bad but won’t drink again.
