2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear amber colour with small bubbles head. Bittersweet floral aroma, mainly hops and malt. Bitter taste that slowly sweeps to sweet, caramel notes. Metallic aftertaste, medium to light body. Pleasent, regular according to the style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. pours a dark amber and reddish color. Moderate sweet aroma that is grainy and nutty with balancing toffee, caramel and hints of almond and spices. Taste is similar and a bit too sweet for me but not too bad for an American marzen.

Been drinking a bit before this so....in terms is Oktoberfest this is decent. With that being said, it’s not really my tyle of beer. Malty, not overly sweet. Not bad but won’t drink again.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 1/2017. Pours crystal clear deep orange/light copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/toffee, herbal, grass, light pepper, and toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/toffee, herbal, grass, light pepper, and toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/toffee, herbal, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy, and lightly slick/silky/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. Very rich and robust on malt flavors, without being too sweet. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle pour in mug. Cupper color with medium white head, malty-sweet aroma, not very intense, taste is caramel, low-moderate bitterness, hops presence is low, so more a malty brew, decent marzen thou.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Malty aroma, decent head. Dark copper color. Malty with hints of caramel. Hops tone it down a bit, but it still finishes somewhat sweet but clean.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber pour with off white head. Aroma is light grain and malt. Taste follows nose but is stronger. It adds a little sweet caramel. Not bad.

Kind of disappointing, expecting more flavor for an autumn brew. Not much different than a regular Sam Adams.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, malts. Dito finish. Bit too sweet for me, but the missus likes it.
