The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

Another one of those beers that got me into good beer. However, no longer a favorite in the Ok/Marzen style. Toffee flavor comes through very good. Still a good offering. When it’s available, I usually have a few on hand.

De geur is helemaal niet goed. Mooi flesje.

From Sep 2006 Poured from 12oz bottle a clear dark amber with a medium sized head of foam that dissipated fairly slowly leaving a fine layer with lacing. The smell was pretty delicate but I did note some malt sweetness. The taste has notes of caramel maltiness, some grain and there's a hoppy bitterness near and through the finish. Not a bad brew at all and worth trying for sure.

Dark bronze, clear nice creamy head, that dosnt last. Aroma sour with caramel and a hint of yeast. Sweet, grain, with sweet malt in the aftertaste.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2017 Drank this because it was the only non lager at Texas Roadhouse, enjoyable enough that I bought a six pack on the way home. Refreshing and not bitter

Bottle (5,3%) from Systembolaget. Color is copper with medium head. Some coffee notes in the aroma. Taste is malt, citrus and herbs. A bit watery finish. Tasteful and very enjoyable!
