3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark amber. Foamy head dissipates quickly with just a little lacing left. Aroma is restrained, characterized by vague malts. Taste is far more upfront than aroma, with toasted malts dominant. Alcohol in the aftertaste, just a tad bit too much perhaps. Mouthfeel is extremely lively--a prickly carbonation. In all, a beer that tastes better than it smells. Not the best Oktoberfest beer, but fine and does not disappoint.
From Sep 2006
Poured from 12oz bottle a clear dark amber with a medium sized head of foam that dissipated fairly slowly leaving a fine layer with lacing.
The smell was pretty delicate but I did note some malt sweetness.
The taste has notes of caramel maltiness, some grain and there's a hoppy bitterness near and through the finish. Not a bad brew at all and worth trying for sure. bjakk (814) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - OCT 14, 2017
Dark bronze, clear nice creamy head, that dosnt last. Aroma sour with caramel and a hint of yeast. Sweet, grain, with sweet malt in the aftertaste. On2wheelsh (3) - Van Alstyne, Texas, USA - OCT 12, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2017 Drank this because it was the only non lager at Texas Roadhouse, enjoyable enough that I bought a six pack on the way home. Refreshing and not bitter jobe977 (158) - Töreboda, SWEDEN - OCT 8, 2017

We've been tasting a lot of Oktoberfests this season, many of which have been excellent, whereas this one is merely solid. It has a sweet sticky nose of harvest and corn. It looks very orange amber with a thin head. The flavor is smooth malts, some foamy yack, and a light toffee aftertaste. It is easy drinking and pleasant, but lacking in the complexity of some of the other offerings we've had recently. Good for reading a mystery novel outside with your boo boo while waiting to go to Costco on the last day of vacation. beergearbox (58) - London, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2017

Pours deep amber with a tall white head. Aroma of caramel malt and citrus. Taste of dark rye bread, toast, caramel, raisins. Rather sweet, low bitterness, medium body. caribou43 (1146) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - OCT 3, 2017
I found this bottle at the drink of the world in Geneva, the day of the Giant statues party in Geneva. I drank it the last saturday at Bonfol, for the aperitive. In my own opinion, it is a classic of the Bavarian Land, coming from Boston and following the tradition. There is nothing exciting but it is fully drinkable, easy and refreshing. Firstly the taste is malty and metalic, hop and I think dry for the style, typical taste of Märzen, a bit watery. The color is copper, clear and the carbonation is normal, thin and white foam. I prefer the märzen of Luzerner brewery but this one is decent.
