"Theres probably a 6.5 & a 7.5 in there, but straight 7’s’ll do. Not quite as cool as I was hoping. The barrel influence is really really light. Not that I can’t appreciate subtlety, but this really doesn’t even start to open up til it gets pretty warm (& of course it’s poured cold). Once it opens, it goes from standard well balanced ale to having hints of vanilla, wood, and melon. Not enough to blow you away, but pretty drinkable and quite smooth at 6.5%. Was hoping for more similarities to Kentucky Bourbon Ale, but this is it’s own thing. I’d drink more if it ever gets bottled."

On tap at the Holy Grail. Listed on the menu as Kentucky Oak. Pours an amber-orange color with an off-white head. The aroma has a lot of caramel and toffee notes. The flavor is similar. On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a clear copper with a small of white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is whiskey and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt with marshmellow and raisin with oak in the finish. Not sure if this is the right placfe to rate this beer called S/A kentucky ale from the bocktown in monaca. Darker orange color. Fresh aroma which is a tad volatile. First taste is much ado about noting, milder than expected. Quite flat rearly does not seem to have much alky in there. Comes across fairly mild. Seems to have soem kind of spice in there. Can’t really idintify the seaoning. Now I think its morphing into a fruti beer, yes a berry fruit beer. Its becomning prominent int he aroma too. No way is this american strong ale, ferget that BS. Yes, towrds the end it becomes a fruiot beer, one of the more interesting brews I had at bocktown lately. Pour on tap at Parry’s Pizza, very clear orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, slight trash, hints of earth, slight oak maybe, hints of grass, slight red fruit. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, some slight fruit, toffee, hints of earth, finishing fairly sweet. Hardly any oak or whiskey in there, with not much good going on.

Draft .. Pours a simple deep brown .. . mild foam .. . light chocolate and very light barrel .. . very lackluster and boring, was hoping the oak would be more prominent but this is just nappytime .. . . I’ll put a stop to this or my name is mud!
