355ml bottle poured vigorously with a 2 finger white head that settles to leave a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is lemon and grass. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a light malty sweetness and a light lemon tartness in the finish. Like a typical German style lager with a bit of lemon, moderate aftertaste lingers a bit long. Otherwise, a decent brew for the style. drfabulous (8588) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUN 22, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Light color. Light body. Big lemonade taste. Lemonade beer, for the most part. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Tasted on 6/20/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours. clear golden orange with an average off-white head that slowly recedes to an average collar of lace. The nose is a nice mixture of classic beer malt and sweet lemonade, much like any other radler or shandy. The flavor is about the same, with the lemonade sweet and tart. The body is light with fizzy carbonation and a short lemonade and light beer finish. Darkmagus82 (2303) - - JUN 19, 2014

Poured from glass into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a clear straw color with a huge billowy white head. The head has big carbonation bubbles entrapped within which pop to give a medium to light amount of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heavy in lemon with lighter hints of wheat. The lemon aroma is of a sweeter nature resembling that of lemonade. When mixed with the wheat and a light hop aroma it makes for a very nice aroma.
Taste – A sweet malt flavor of some wheat and lemon meet the tongue. The citrus lemon makes for a very lemonade like quality. While sweet upfront it sweetness even more toward the middle with heavier flavors of lemon. The sweetness is of largely white sugar giving the brew and even more lemonade flavor. As the taste advances beyond the middle however, it loses a bit of the sweetness (although it is still sweet) and becomes a bit more bready in nature. This sweet lemon and wheat flavor mixed with a very light grassy hop finish off the taste.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very light and the carbonation is a bit below normal. Both give the beer a more lemonade like flavor.
Overall – It is refreshing, but not something I am typically looking for in a beer. It is much better then something like a Mike’s hard lemonade, so if you are in the mood for something of that like take this instead. Frank (4236) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 18, 2014
This is a step above, say, Leinenkugel’s shandies but still not exactly a top notch beer. It is orange yellow in the glass and its head is small and made of fine bubbles. The nose is pretty mild and it is mostly lemon zest and a bit of grassy hops. A bit of hop bitterness in the finish qualifies as actual beer character and thus makes this an improvement over much of its ilk. Rather than just tasting like lemon soda pop, this actually tastes like lemon flavored soda-pop mixed w/ a reasonably well-hopped lager. It is medium bodied and a little bit sweet but vigorous carbonation helps to lighten the texture a bit. This is definitely not the worst thing I will drink this month but I still prefer to mix my own raedlers if I drink them at all.

Clear yellow pour with a thin white head, looks good. Aroma is of sugar and lemons. Medium carbonation, light bodied. A bit tart up front, lemonade flavor, some light toasted maltiness, cane sugar finish. Exactly as described. Honestly, I would be more interested to try the helles before it was mixed with the lemonade. I’m sure it’s pretty refreshing on tap, like a lemonade version of shock top. Good for what it is. jbuzz (838) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2014
Not one of Sam Adams better brews. Sweet and uninteresting with a light malt flavor. rweingarten (46) - Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Golden color with light head. The lemony flavor is overpowering the other fruity undertones. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle. Pours yellow gold with white head. Nose/taste of lemon and light white sugar. Not much else going on. Light bodied. dbhenry (139) - El Paso, Texas, USA - JUN 8, 2014
The lemon flavoring in this beer works better than most flavorings. It goes nicely with the malt, but the low hops taste doesn’t help. It is a light beer, designed for thirst quenching, not savoring a good naturally flavored brew.
