Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called radler. The name radler translates to cyclist, A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear honey color with a quick to go fizzy head. Aroma of lemons and fruit loops. Taste like a bad lemonade. Wheat and lemon soda. Overwhelming lemon flavor. Lemon beer not my thing. Tart finish with a horrible lingering finish.

Clear, pale gold pour with a thin, creamy, eggshell head that has poor retention despite a very high effervescence. Aroma of sweet lemonade, light toast and sweet, fruity Fruit Loops and floral notes. The flavor is not nearly as bright and fruity as the aroma, Fruit Loops, floury grain, doughy yeast and a lingering lemon oil finish. Lightish somewhat slick palate with a light, soft and blanketing carbonation. Not to bad as far as Shandys/Radlers go, but they are definitely not my thing. Could have been a little drier and more carbonated.

Odd vinegar funk aroma. Bright golden color with no foam. Unique sour flavor with notes of vinegar, sour apple, caramel, honey and some other unidentifiable flavors. Overall, very unique. Sour yet enjoyable.

12oz bottle from summer pack. Pours a sparkling yellow with fizzy white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is almost completely lemon, almost smells like a cleaning product. Sweet lemon flavor with a clean lager finish, light bodied. Ideal lawnmower beer if there ever was one. Not really my thing.

Bottle; poured a clear, slightly dark gold. Medium white head. Aroma of lemon and bread. Flavor was fairly dry with a lot of lemon. Quaff-able, but not what I look for in a beer. A bit fizzy.

I really nice summer beer and much better than other shady types Ive had. It holds a decent amount of alcohol as well. Light body with a solid malt presence which seems to be complimented by the lemonade half.

Pours a clear golden with a rather large, frothy off-white head that is long lasting. Aroma is pure, sugary-sweet lemon Kool-Ade. Sweet lemondrop flavor with very little sourness and a light wheat tang in the finish. Moderately carbonated. A refreshing beer, though it really just leaves me wanting a nice, uncarbonated iced lemonade. It is what it is.
