COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called “radler.” The name radler translates to “cyclist,” A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Got it in the Seasonal 12-pack at Krogers on Broadway. Pale yellow. Small, fast white head. Aroma: Ginger ale, lemon. Flavor: The same with a hint of yeast, tart. Clean finish. Very drinkable... TOO drinkable. It seems more like a lemon soda than a beer. I would take it over a Macro-brew any day but Koch has done better.

Purchased at the Bull Run Tap House. Refreshing. Lemony. Thirst quenching. Sweet. Wouldn't purchase a case but not bad on a hot summer day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

B. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Not as good as Summer Shandy, but light and refreshing

Ugh. Mediocre lager mixed with bad canned diet lemonade. Didn’t expect a radler from Sam Adams to taste this artificial. Sickly sweet. Smells bearable but it’s a lie. Avoid.

Poured from 12oz bottle into tulip glass, a clear golden amber colour with no foam, just a ring of tiny bubbles. Mass-produced lager plus some lemon bite. Slightly metallic and astringent, but not deeply flawed. No real hop presence. Light body, strong carbonation, citrusy aftertaste. Served cold, it’s definitely refreshing on a hot day.

Pours clear medium gold, light head. Aroma is strong natural lemon. Taste is slightly sweet malt, lemon soda, hops peaking through here and there. Some tartness, but not overwhelming. Light mouthfeel. Very refreshing after a warm bike ride. Does what the style should do.

Pour is clear golden. Taste is overpowering powdery artificial lemon. The most disappointing sam adams i have tried. Expected better. A better version of this style is Boulevards radler

Aroma is lemon. Taste is a carbonated lemonade, but not too overpowering. Overall surprisingly OK.

Pours clear, bubbly straw yellow with a thick and frothy, though not long-lasting, snow-white head. Aroma delivers a strong lemonade tone with a malty underpinning. This says "Summer" out loud. Tart flavor offers lemonade and malty notes, pleasing and refreshing. Mouthfeel features wan body and fizz, more lemonade than beer, but still this will either take the edge off a broiling day or bring a little summer into a chilly one.

12 oz. bottle. Best before NOV ticked on the side of label. Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma is artificial lemonade. Even for a radler, this is not easy to drink. Heavy on the lemonade and reminds me of a Country Time lemonade powder mix with a shot of a bad blonde ale. Pretty gross overall. To be fair, I hate radlers to begin with and this doesn’t help my opinion of them.
