Bottle at San Juan. Clear orange color, big cloudy white head, some lace. Aroma has pine needles and resin. Medium-bodied. Flavor is moderately hoppy ... resin,, pine, citrus and then grapefruit in the aftertaste. Yes hoppy for being Sam Adams but somewhat clinic middle-class ipa. mjg74 (3117) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 27, 2015
Bottle from Fred Meyer. Hazy light golden amber in color. Nose is fairly hoppy with a bit of a pungent quality to it. Crisp hoppiness up front. Some grassiness as well. Good maltiness for balance. Reminds me more of a hopped up pilsner than an IPA. AndyReynolds (1085) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 26, 2015
Draft at BW3s on 12/30/2013. I was told by our server that this beer was made for them exclusively, which would explain the mediocrity. I came to find out a week later when it was on the shelves literally everywhere, that was not the case. Again, rating from notes and trying to get caught up. , Georgia. Amber beer with a lightly hopped aroma, and quite a deeply hopped flavour. Overall a nice strongly flavoured IPA.

Not 100% sure as it was told to be just "rebel ipa" and there are several out there, this is the most likely... american pint on tap at Vynl, Manhattan, NY. Amber color, clear, short white head as they like it here. Hoppy smell as expected.
Aroma is mostly hoppy, spruce, a bit of resin, slightly malty, maybe a metallic hue. Taste fairly bitter, not excessive, hoppy finish, dry. Third IPA in a row here in NY, all of them very dry and crisp.
OK dry IPA. dwyerpg (6230) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 22, 2015
This is a pretty solid and decent IPA. A pretty equal amount of hops between the aroma and the body. Nice. JoeZasada (317) - Beaumont, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2015
Bottle. Pours a very light amber with a moderate white head. Slight hop aroma, a touch of resin, kind of metallic. Taste is moderately hoppy, some spuce flavour. Only slightly bitter. Warming mouthfeel. Finish is a spruce like bitterness. Pretty good; more aromatic hops would probably help but otherwise it’s a nice mild IPA. luttonm (6504) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 21, 2015
Bottle in NYC. Clean orange. Spritely carbonation. Meaty hop and malt aroma, citrusy and some balance. Sweet minty citrus. Plenty of malt backing but still relatively ’hop forward’. Tasty enough drinker gualtieritony (8) - - FEB 17, 2015 does not count
This ipa is a shocker from Sam. Never thought it was going to be good but it is great. Good hops great finish and after taste. This is going to be a consistent product. The Rebel double ipa is even better!!!
