Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. Its everything we love about West coast style IPAs. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

I had completely avoided buying this beer, I happened to be at a bar in which a sample was opened and I was offered a taste. I honestly think this is terrible. A sad attempt at a West Coast IPA. Totally out of balance, in the worst way possible. The smell is better than the taste. As my beer warmed, the smell turned to hops mixed with urine. I dont know what the hell they did to this thing, but it isnt good. The taste is hoppy with some malt, but it completely falls short. I tasted this against a Stone IPA, and guess what? Stone blew it away. Wow. Just a shit beer.

Poured from a 35.5cl bottle at home. Clear. Yellow-gold. Medium to low head. Good lacing. Salty and peachy aroma. Slight yeast flavour (possibly Belgium yeast). Mild sweetness, medium-low bitterness. Body is light to medium-light, watery, slightly oily. Dry and crisp. Lingering, mild bitterness. (I prefer IPAs over Double/Imp IPAs, but in this case - Samuel Adams Rebel Rouser Double IPA - wins hands down)

Bottle from Asda. Deep and clear gold in colour, with a tight, white, head. Sweet, ripe cereal and tangerine fruit aroma, with a touch of citrus hop. Flavour was similarly sweet, with some dense and gooey malts, a hint of white pepper and crystallised fruits, leading to a dryish finish. A real mixed bag, with some nice parts offset by some flabby overly sweet ones. Ok.

Clean, dark golden color with a fluffy, long-lived head of white foam. Light citrus bite of grapefruit and tangerine. Caramel malt balanced otut fine with subtle evergreen and floral characters. The best of the Rebel series.

Pours a deep hazy amber with an off white head. Nose is bread, biscuit and caramel. Rich, sweet mouth feel get the caramel and biscuit malts first, and then some grapefruit and apricot leading into a dry bitter piney finish. Pretty decent IPA.
