COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

Hazy Dark Red Amber Color, Medium Head, Light Thin Lacing. Faint Floral Hop Aroma. Malt, Floral Hop, Moderate Bitter. Better Than Their Regular Lineup but not Really Up To Par With Good Little Guys. OK.

bottle. like the grumpy monk, and like most Sam Adams beers - pretty underwhelming. A macro trying to make a micro.

Rated from notes taken 1 Apr 2012 -- Had this beer the night before my first TDY. A very nice Red. A very nice IPA. Combine the two and you have a damn good beer.

Bottled @Stop&Go, Ponce, PR. Batch 2, 3.25usd! Dark copper-brown color, creamy beige head, lace. Bready, dark fruity, licoricey, slightly oxidiced. Medium-bodied. Licorice, oxidiced madeira. Earthy hops and caramel in the flavor. Bottle seems old but not hopeless. Aged quite interestingly.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, hints of herbal notes in there as well, touch of orange. Taste is a mix of orange, grass, grapefruit, some caramel, toffee into a bit of spice, yeast, finishing slightly bitter, slightly dry.

"this was a pleasant surprise and one i hope makes its way to 6 packs in 2012. beautiful red color with thick tan cap and a ton of lacing. nice, fresh citrus and pine hop aroma with the caramel and biscuit malt in the background. flavor near perfectly balanced. always bitter, but sweet and easy drinking at the same time with the liberal amount of malt flavors as well. very nice. 5-12...super nice in 22’s and draft...12 oz mix pack tasted like a lesser beer. WTF?!"
