Draft at Moriartys. Translucent dark red copper pour. Starts with a large foamy white head. Smooth malty IPA. Dark wheat aroma. Juicy dark red fruit in the mix. Dried strawberries. Black plums. Red grapes. Celery root. Bit of soft spice in there. Definitely malts over hops. Gachupines (1252) - USA - JUN 9, 2014

Smells floral and malty, a bit of sudsy hop. Tastes grassy, bitter, slightly metallic. Body is thin to medium with small bit of carbonation. HKdIPA (841) - HONG KONG - JUN 1, 2014
Bottle from QClub on Jay's roof. Dark red pour with fluffy head. Piney juicy hops aroma. Taste is crisp piney hops with bitterness and a solid malty backbone. Pretty good IPA - especially for $25. mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 26, 2014

Big thanks to nike for this unrated beer. Funny how we call these brownish colored beers red, heheh. Big giant head like puffy rocky clouds. Taste is a malty brew mixed with IPA, more like a stronger brown or red ale in flavor. Probably one of the milder IPA I’ve tasted and I’m thankful for that. If this is close to 7%, it hides its alky content well. Smell is not really that of an IPA, more like a malted beer aroma. Decent co2 fer now. Ok, after the session continues, there is this ipa building sensation starting to rise in the back of my throat. Yes, each swig as I near the end of the bottle starts to have more and more IPA - ish things going on. However, never really rises to the impact of a full ipa. Probably could be in the red or brown ale category. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - MAY 23, 2014

Served in 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a nice deep red color with a small slightly off white head. The head faded quick leaving a nice level of lacing.
Smell – The smell is quite sweet up front. There are great aromas of cherry, caramel and a nice roasted –bready malt base. A nice citrus aroma is very pertinent as well; citrus in nature and a bit more citrus candy sweet in smell.
Taste – In the front of the taste there is a nice roasty and bready malt base with a good caramel sweetness. More towards the middle a nice hoppy flavor really works its way into the mouth. Citrus and a bit of pine really begin the hop flavor. More toward the end however the hop turns to more and more bitter grapefruit citrus in nature and leaves a very strong grapefruit bitterness in the mouth.
Mouthfeel – A little more creamy and thick then the normal brew with a average level of carbonation. It very nice for the style; the carbonation complements the nice grapefruit hop and the thicker body the nice bready-caramel flavors.
Overall – This is a very tasty brew. Nice malty hop flavor with a great aroma and mouthfeel. One to try and have many a times.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a darker rubyish color with a decent white head and some good stringy lace. The aroma is big on grapefruit and hops. There is also a great resin character that really keeps this thing dry. The flavor is equally as good. Nice resiny bitterness up front followed by the hops and fading into a great dry bitterness. I'm actually a fan. The mouth feel is a touch thin, but the carbonation helps, and the aftertaste is nice piney, dry, and a little bitter. Not bad at all!

Rated on 02-10-2012 (Bottle) This beer has a large beige head with a lengthy retention, transparent reddish-orange body, fizzy carbonation, and a generous amount of lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, pine hops, earthy, and grapefruit. The flavor is lightly malty, lightly bitter, pine hops in the background, and has a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is not very hoppy tasting for being an IPA. The hops take a backseat for the style. 6ROW (473) - corpus christi, Texas, USA - APR 17, 2014
