COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional Ginger Honey Ale is an authentic brew that can be traced back to the ginger brews of the late 1700s. In fact, records show that Thomas Jefferson and his wife brewed 15 gallons of ginger beer with fresh lemons and honey every two weeks for daily consumption. Following that tradition, Samuel Adams Traditional Ginger Honey Ale is a highly effervescent beer that is brewed with authentic ingredients from the colonial era, such as fresh ginger puree, lemon peel and wildflower honey. Pale golden in color, the brew has a subtle maltiness with a floral, sweet honey finish. The sweetness of the Traditional Ginger Honey Ale is the perfect partner for sweet and spicy foods alike. We recommend pairing it with a glazed honey ham, Chinese spareribs, or baklava.

12 fl oz. Bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with little off-white head. Ginger and slight citric nose. Citric and ginger flavoured, mellow. Same in the finish. Nice but has no lasting finish.

An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet and primarily with notes of ginger, but lighter notes of citrus mingles in - I find the aroma a bit light. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of ginger, and again light notes of lemon, but also light notes of wheat and honey, leading to a dry wheaty end.

Bottled. Muddy pale amber, brief head, lots of sediment. Light ginger aroma. Fairly sweet with rounded, oily mouthfeel. Besides the ginger and honey there is not a whole lot going on. Finishes with low bitterness and a slight ginger burn.

BBE Oct 06. Cloudy brown beer. Crisp palate. Nice blend of lemon and honey with ginger coming and adding bite. Finshes with a little carbonated bite. Unusual tasting beer. Spicy sweet lemon marmalade! Refreshing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Cloudy, pale amber golden with tiny impurities and an off-white head. Distinct aroma of citrus and ginger. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and fruit and again distinct flavours of ginger. Drinkable indeed. 180807

It’s pretty much all ginger here. Light bodied. Nose of honey and ginger spice. Taste is ginger spice with more ginger and some ginger spice.

Ginger spice aroma. Hint of lemon. Slightly hazy golden color, with a white head. Starts with lemon? almost instantly overwhelmed with ginger. Fresh ginger ending with cooked ginger. (aka gingerbread) It’s really refreshing. Went very well with hot garlic salsa. I suppose it is sweet, but light, not cloying.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with no head. The aroma is faint ginger. Thin mouth, honey, grain, sweet, off finish.

Bottle poured a hazy gold with a small diminishing white head. Aromas of ginger, lemon and a hint of honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of ginger, honey and light lemon with a pleasent sweet citrus finish. Would be a decent summer beer if you could get it in 6 packs at a decent price.
