2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Batch 1. Pours a hazy dark orange with maybe a finger of dense off-white head. Aroma is pungent yeast and lemon, with some hay. Taste is unremarkable wheat beer at first, then the lemons and salt come through for an interesting finish. Sweet and salty with very little bitterness. There are some complexities here, but I am not sure this is really my cup of tea. I would recommend to a wheat beer fan, which I am not.
March 18th, 2015 - Samuel Adams makes a gose? That's enough to pique my interest. Deep auburn, and with a wavy, smooth head, it certainly doesn't look like much of a gose, but the nose is a little closer to the mark, with a bright wheat beer style flavor that leans heavy on the lemon and candied fruit. And the flavor is much the same, though leaves a deep impression. Bright and acidic, it awakens the tongue with a firm shock, and follows with some complex notes. It begins with a wheat flavor, turning floral in the center with lots of tangerine jam notes, before ending with a clean, crisp lemon aftertaste. I found the circuit of flavors both pleasant and curious. The coriander in the recipe is a bit tricky, and hard to pinpoint. It could be complementing the lemon, but it's hard for me to say. hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2017

16.9 ounce bottle. Hazy copper color. Firm creamy beige head with nice clinging lace. Sweet malty nose has hints of coriander and white toast. Interesting subtle sweet malt flavor upfront. Notes of caramel, butter and coriander spice. Some saltiness and grassy hops in finish. Different. weihenweizen (4205) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - SEP 19, 2015
On tap at Mellow Mushroom St. Mathews. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is light tart, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is mineral water and some tartness. Homer321 (5248) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2015
Bottle. Nose is corn and weirdly Belgian. Maybe butter. Diacetyl? Perfume. Taste is weird. Not lacto. Just no. Total dump.

Very disappointed with this one. Taste is very malty with no bitterness and only the smallest trace of sour. A fair bit of salt to be sure, but its the malts that dominate. Also the palate is rather weak and watery. perhaps I have an old bottle? Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2015
Pours deeper gold with a very small white head. Aroma is citrus and brine. Taste is tart and salty with a touch of sweetness on the finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a smooth texture. Overall this was decent. BrewBoxer (2667) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 14, 2015
Bottle at Ulysses NYC. Pours a dark brown color with a head that comes and goes. Not as tart as I'd expect and darker. A good beer for people not into the Puckery sourness GreatDane1632 (1174) - North Dakota, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Rated based on notes taken 25 May 2012 -- An okay beer, my first ever gose and I don’t think I really knew what to think about it. Would like to try again sometime for a re-rate. Beerdedone (3480) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 8, 2015
