Decent for an American weisse. Pours golden. Nose and taste of spices, wheats, light sweetened malts. Rated 6/17/02 Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2009
From bottle. Cloudy orange with a thin white head. Refreshing beer. Bitter with herb and coriander. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - APR 23, 2008
This was a decent take on the style. Some nice yeasty qualities throughout, banana and clove, a light bit of bubblegum connect to a really light honey sweet malt body. Guinness4Duff (515) - Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2008
Blonde color with a white head. This beer has a wonderfully sweet malty flavor accented by banana and spice. I wish I could find more of this. stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 24, 2007
On draft @ the brewery with the Mad_Indian, thanks Andy our tour guide for really hooking us up. Pours hazy yellow with an avaerage size white head. Aroma of banana, cloves, and spices. The flavor is sweet, banana, and spices. Good brew.

Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Sam Adams. Thanks to Andy for letting us stick around to rate this. Cloudy yellow pour with good head retention. Banna and wheat aroma. Good blend of Bannana and alcohol. It was quite enjoyable. Icommonsewer (125) - TUCSON, Arizona, USA - AUG 28, 2007
very nice American ’cheif’ beer... Sam Adams has become the very best of all mass-production American beer companies... KUDOS! BeerloverEJ21 (131) - Georgia, USA - APR 11, 2007
Again, Sam Adams is not my favorite brewer, but it is growing on me. I really liked this beer because of its complexity, and the fact that it didnt really taste like any beer I’ve had before. It had a certain sweet flavor, almost like cotton candy, that I thought was really good. Had mild fruity notes, was smooth and refreshing. After taste was mildly bitter, again with that distinct sweet flavor. Not bad. haukur (1957) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - JUN 5, 2006
I have no idea how to rate this aroma, this is not very hefe like, but all the same,it is like a hefe on steroids, loads of clove, yeast and fruit, maybe banana v apples? not a clear banana nor citrus feel. Those american hops and malt are quite obvious. Its quite like that american breweries cant copy the original, they always overdue it with too much malt and hops, and american malt and hops. I´m not saying this is bad, it is rather interesting but it fails to capture the orginal idea. This is still a hefeweizen in every sence of it, really really refreshing and quite nice. As a hefe, there something off, but not in a bad way. Really interesting and a good brew can8ianben (1545) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 22, 2005
Interesting, not sure what to make of this one. It has a big malty nose and some overly corny aromas as well. The flavour is not what I would typically expect from a hefeweizen, there isn’t as much citrus and light flavours happening. It’s too smoky in my opinion, with far too much darker malt coming through. Maybe my bottle is bad, but I’m not getting the banana that I would normaly expect. It is easy to drink, but isn’t that enticing.
