Okay beer, but really lacking in flavor compared to just about any other belgian wit. Cmon sam adams get your head together and start putting some taste back in the beers.

Hazy golden yellow in color, not a ton of head, but looks rather appealing nonetheless. If you slowly pour it out in spurts, the head is nice. Aroma of allspice and/or grains of paradise. Kinda like a spicy candle with hops. Distinct nutmeg (after I read the label). Its a little un-beer like but pretty okay. Also orange peel after it warms up after a few minutes. This might be a nice crossover for someone who doesnt love beer but loves candles. The flavor is very sweet in the malt area, before all dem spices come a creepin up. The orange peel is crucial here, as it ties together the malts and the other spices. The feel is about average, with a touch of tingly spice. Its a nice wintry mix. Spicy and purdy good.

Pours clear yellow under a white head. Aroma of light lemon zest and spice. The flavor is light lemon and some vague spiciness. Smooth body and palate.

For me, the spices in this brew were too overwhelming and clashed with the sweetness of the wheat malt. I have to admit, though, this brews still fairly drinkable considering that it combines wheat with cinnamon and nutmeg. Its a harebrained idea with less than stellar execution but its not as bad as I thought it would be.

12oz bottle from Lowes in Hickory. Gold pour with thin white head. Aroma is nutmeg, coriander and citrus. Tastes are zesty citrus, wheat and typical winter spices. Kind of a strange mix. Little yeasty in the finish.

I had no idea this was supposed to be a Belgian. This was a big swing and a miss from Sammy

12oz in Seattle. Bright hazy orange, light amber. Big spicy wheat, obnoxious perfume of cardamom and sage. Clean crisp body, nice. White grape, creamy wheat. Eh, could be worse.

Interesting combination of flavors. Unfortunately, that combination did not agree with my taste buds. I could see someone liking this beer, but not me.

12/30/2013: Samuel Adams White Christmas (Ale brewed with spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel)... The aroma is nutmeg-dusted orange and the flavor is lots of cinnamon on top of a citrusy wheat maltiness; it almost has the raw, dusty spice quality to it. I was thinking that this might just be the wheat version of Old Fezziwig, but the ginger in that works harmoniously with the maltiness whereas the nutmeg and cinnamon in this are just a bit too much on top of the Belgian Wit-like base of this week. Im definitely not a big fan of the White Christmas. 12 fl. oz. bottle (5.8% ALC/VOL; Enjoy Before MAY14) from Jungle Jims International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. Rating #407 for this beer.
