COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As crisp as the first snowfall of the year, this unfiltered white ale is blended with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel. The familiar citrus and wheat characters of the ale are complimented by the warmth of the spices for a festive brew that’s perfect for the season.

From the winter variety pack at Costco. The orange, cinnamon and other spices (nutmeg?) kind of drown out the white ale quality. Still, nice for this time of year.

Bottle as part of winter mix pack. Pours cloudy orange. Nose of wheat and Christmas spices. Tastes of nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, orange peel, lemon, yeast, wheat, some banana. Drying finish.

Ew! Bad, weird, watery, malty, spices. Just avoid. Waste of a beer bottle. Not worth your time.

Pours a cloudy Golden color worth a slightly off-white had. Chorus aroma, combined with nutmeg. Flavor was a bit too sour for my taste, and listed way to long. Funny thing was, the first one was good, but the more I drank, the less I liked it.

punkeedo (498) - Covington, Louisiana, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Unlike most holiday brews, this is a light, refreshing witbier that really clears the palate after all the porters, stouts, and what-not! This beer smells like Christmas with a one-two-three punch of cinnamon, clove, and coriander. Tastes like Christmas at first sip, but goes down a delicious witbier. Very sweet, but not icky. Really nice and refreshing.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 Pours hazy honey golden. Nose is orange peel, some nutmeg, coriander. Taste largely matches nose, moderately spiced mostly with nutmeg and coriander, cinnamon, a bit of orange peel, not much wit character underneath the spicing. Surprisingly decent body underneath, but overall a bit bland.

Nice Wit beer. A little cinnamon, nutmeg and orange flavor but not overpowering. Crisp carbonation. Not bad.

jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - DEC 10, 2013
Location/Date:Bottle on 12/10/2013.

Appearance: Pours an opaque yellow with light white head.
Aroma: Aroma of light wheat, nutmeg, orange.
Taste: Wheat, lemon, light cinnamon and nutmeg, faint orange.
Palate:Light body, lingering orange peel on the aftertaste.

Summary: This beer sets out to meet it’s goal. I would have preferred more of a wheaty flavor to it.

Decent, but not the best out of the full selection of Samuel Adams Winter Seasonals.

Good rendition of a Wit with the addition of cinnamon and nutmeg. Rather sweetly spicy, however finishes with a nice bite of sourness that was unexpected and much appreciated. Good stuff.
