COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As crisp as the first snowfall of the year, this unfiltered white ale is blended with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel. The familiar citrus and wheat characters of the ale are complimented by the warmth of the spices for a festive brew that’s perfect for the season.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Very spicy, nutmeg, cinnamon, wheat aromas. Again, very spicy in flavor with cinnamon and nutmeg. Not bad, but I’m not really digging the spices in this beer much.

Smells like a typical wheat beer. Pours hazy orange with a minimal white head. Refreshing wheat flavors with a hint of citrus.

This appears to be a basic, run of the mill witbier from it’s appearance, aroma, and taste. It has nice, clean aromas of orange peel and spices, although I don’t detect the cinnamon or nutmeg. It is certainly refreshing and thirst quenching, but there isn’t anything that sets it apart from other witbiers.

skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2013
Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head with some lacing. Aroma is of wheat, citrus, winter spices, orange peel, And some yeast. Taste is similar to the aroma. Has a light-medium finish wih a watery mouthfeel and a slighty dry, mostly sweet, short finish. Overall, a slighty above average witbier that might be a tad too sweet and over spiced.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of cinnamon, apple and nutmeg. Taste is smooth, light and sweet. Tastes a lot like egg nog actually. In a very pleasant way. Finishes light and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle) hazy light orange/amber colour with a small white head; aromas of cake, fruit; balanced flavour with a light sour finish; average

Pours slightly hazy and light goold with little head. Slight sharp aroma of citrus or ginger. Taste is smooth and sweet. If you concentrate you can pick up a hint of banana at end of mouthfeel but not enough to improve this.

BrewIPA (94) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2013
12 oz bottle, pours amber with average head. Tastes if malt and citrus, Christmas spices in this beer remind me very much of Harpoon Winter Warmer, likely where this recipe was inspired. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really not many redeemable qualities about this beer. Weak aroma and a weird taste. Just pass.

2.3

Cloudy orange pour some white head. Aroma of yeast, orange, nutmeg. Nutmeg bomb of flavor. Slick mouthfeel like syrup. Good nutmeg delivery device for people that don’t like eggnog.
