Head disappears quickly. Good color and the taste is good. Enjoy Cold Snap better but not a bad second. drjay44 (3708) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JAN 15, 2015
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin poorly retained, off white head, over a slightly hazy light amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is light cereal malts, nutmeg, slight citrus, herbal hops, light cinnamon, balance to the spices.....taste is light fruits including orange, light cinnamon, hints of nutmeg, cereal malts, finishing with a light herbal hop bitterness.....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, light carbonation. This is a fairly nondescript beer. The spices were used with a light enough hand to be almost non existent, and the malts are also. This is a failed experiment. DATE TASTED: December 19, 2014... GLASSWARE: Ommegang Rare Vos... OCCASION: the last shopping trip done... APPEARANCE: pours a fizzling, rapidly diminishing off-white head; body is a hazy orange with little effervescence, belying its pour... AROMA: pungent, aromatic flowers; thick, musty coriander, mulled wine and faint orange peel... PALATE: warm, middling and rather mild; a blunted finish...TASTE: slight, sour, oddly malty at its end with cardboard-like grain; matted flower esters too, with some cinnamon and spice--surprisingly not an enjoyable combination ... OVERALL: usually Sam produces some new treats during the Christmas season, but this one is more of a trick, with uneven mouthfeel and odd flavors that left it largely untouched at our holiday get-together...

Sample. Clear golden color with thin white head. Banana and pepper aroma. Taste is similar, not bad, but not special CJ_Pain (221) - Georgia, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Not my thing. Holiday Spiced up white ales are on a bit of an uptick during the holiday season. The additives distract instead of compliment the wit and is a too fruity sweet unpleasant mess.

Aroma is wit bier and nutmeg. Orange and coriander. Pour is a hazy gold with a decent white head. Taste is very light, not very good as either a winter beer or a wit. mansquito (6427) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is spice, banana, wheat. Taste is very light not very full of flavor witbier. I was in no rush to take another sip meh. MrMeadMan (77) - Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Not bad, not great. Fair entry into the winter ales. Doesn’t over do it and doesn’t under do it. Spices aren’t very prominent but overall flavor is descent. target242 (18) - USA - DEC 28, 2014
Crisp with a hint of "spices"...enough so as not to be overpowering. A nice white ale that could be served with Christmas dinner and Plum Pudding! Would drink at Christmastime again next year!

12 Fl OZ ($1.75) not a bad beer just not something I could see myself rushing off to get. The harvest boxset was better than the winter set.
