COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As crisp as the first snowfall of the year, this unfiltered white ale is blended with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel. The familiar citrus and wheat characters of the ale are complimented by the warmth of the spices for a festive brew that’s perfect for the season.

Not really sure what Sam Adams was aiming for here. Belgian wit is rather light for a winter beer, and this is a little too heavy for the style. Kind of a miss all around...

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light ginger notes with some coriander notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix between some light notes of wheat with some coriander and ginger notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but really nothing to write home about either.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered yellow-tan body with a thin, white head. Cinnamon dominate overspiced aroma. Wow, this is 100% overspiced, reminds me of some of the more awkward US saisons from a few years back. Whereas a good Wit is subltle and delicate, this is heavy-handed and brutal. Lacks any semblance of balance...the spices kill it. Try again.

12 oz. bottle. It pours a dark orange color with a tall white head. The aroma has some orange peel and light notes of baking spices. The flavor is the same. The body is a bit flabby for this style with a bit too much sweetness. The spices are well balanced though. Not a favorite, but a decent brew.

Gold pour with white head and lace. Aroma of wheat, a corn like aroma, corriander, and a light brown sugar. Flavor is corriander, sweet wheat, and some spices I don’t know. A bit thin and fizzy but ok for the style/beer that it is.

Get a faint orange in the aroma but mostly it’s wheat, from the first aroma to the last drop. A nice loft to it, but one is enough due to the heavy wheat body.

thedm (6280) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 31, 2013
This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light yellow orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was musty mild malt and mild wheat. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish with a mellow herbal aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild lager mild wheat mild hops herbal and crisp. An OK brew just nothing special.

JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Cloudy golden to amber color with a modest off-white head. Nearly no aromas. Some white bread and hint of zest. No bad scents at least. Lightly sweet, with some wheat, little lime and hints of ginger and nutmeg. Simple nog beer. 11/12

Bottle. Cloudy gold with a medium, frothy white head. Strong cinnamon and nutmeg in the aroma along with bold yeast notes and toasted wheat. Taste is cinnamon, wheat, yeast, nutmeg, light citrus and candied fruit. Body is medium with a strong, fizzy carbonation. Lingering cinnamon and nutmeg throughout. Ends with more cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted wheat, yeast notes, faint citrus, and hints of bubblegum.

Bottled. Terrible beer. Nothing like a wit at all, some light haze, but none of the customary flavors or aromas. Some adjunct malt sweetness. Just awful.
