COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As crisp as the first snowfall of the year, this unfiltered white ale is blended with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel. The familiar citrus and wheat characters of the ale are complimented by the warmth of the spices for a festive brew that’s perfect for the season.

Get a faint orange in the aroma but mostly it’s wheat, from the first aroma to the last drop. A nice loft to it, but one is enough due to the heavy wheat body.

'tis the season, 'tis so...poured a bottle, cooled, into a clear tumbler.
aroma:clean and malty slight.
appearance: nice cloudiness with thin laces.
taste: not too heavy; not sweet; gentle on the spice side flavors. cinnamon.
palate: medium fizz.
overall: a rather mild holiday brew. unobtrusive and easy to enjoy.

RONCOD (253) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 3, 2017
Pours a cloudy amber with a thin white head. Not a lot of aroma. Spicy hoppy finish. Not too bad.

Rex_Remes (272) - Bonyhad, HUNGARY - NOV 29, 2017
(12oz bottle) AROMA: malt, grain, more of a heavy lager nose instead of a witbeer APPEARANCE: light amber, slightly hazy, oily thin head TASTE: grain, biscuit, some soft bran PALATE: smooth, creamy, tad dry on the finish, not heavy but with some frontal body OVERALL: easy to drink grainy beer, seems more like a good lager than a witbeer, middle of the road, not one of Sam Adams best.

2.9
oobawa (1804) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 13, 2017
Pretty much what you expect: the Samuel Adams Winter spice blend (same as what we get in Winter Lager and Old Fezziwig Ale), only this time applied to a witbier. Not bad, just straightforward, a combination of clove, banana, and vanilla white ale notes with lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. Yeast and citrus pop up on the back end, with an unsatisfying sweetness that grows stronger and more annoying as the pint warms. Pours a hazy gold with a slight white head and lackluster lacing. Good smooth mouthfeel, but it doesn't help the over-spicing and the ever-increasing sugariness. Pass.

JPDIPSO (6293) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Cloudy golden to amber color with a modest off-white head. Nearly no aromas. Some white bread and hint of zest. No bad scents at least. Lightly sweet, with some wheat, little lime and hints of ginger and nutmeg. Simple nog beer. 11/12

Hazy gold with a very small head. The aroma is nutmeg. Sweet clean malt flavor with some nutmeg. Meh

Cloudy straw gold pour with two fingers of white head. Nose shows round sweet spice and subtle bready yeast. Nutmeg/ginger/cinnamon. Not terribly offensive in the flavor. Easy enough to drink. Spice profile could definitely be more aggressive. Glad it’s not....Medium body with a soft carbonation and touch of bite.

Cajun (549) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - DEC 8, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2016 Bottle - Pours pale gold to peach, white head. Orange, grass, fruit make the nose. Flavors of light fruit, hint of lemon cough drops, spices, citrus peel, mild hops end.

3.2
basaywhat (314) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - DEC 4, 2016
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with a medium sized head that slowly dissipates, leaving a bit of lacing. Smell is of bready malts, holiday spices, some citrus, and some additional dark fruits. Taste is a nice combination of the aroma, very smooth in the mouth. Nice medium body, easy drinking, but flavorful.

3.4
Chalumeaux (1763) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 26, 2016
Poured from bottle best by April orange gold with a nice white head. Aromas of clove lemon wheat and spices. Taste is slightly sweet hoo fruit caramel and a cinnamon finish.
