hazy gold pour with a thin white head.
aroma is earthy wet hay.getting some subtle tangerine/orange under that. light spice.
Flavour has a soft citrusy sweetness to it. definite house yeast (?) character combines with the grains of paradise to make sure you know it’s a BBC brew. Bit maltier than the summer ale with a nice soft sweetness. JDBaker11058 (2306) - Maryland, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Appearance: cloudy orangey gold with one finger of bright white head shrinking to a creamy cap, with generous lace curtains. Aroma: marmalade, cracked wheat, yeast, and a bit of white peppercorn. Taste: a bit like orangina, with apricots, tangerine, and a grainy wheat cracker note over some pepper, coriander and general spice. Finish: tangy, slightly sweet, with a zingy combo of carbonation and spice to freshen the very end. Notes: Surprisingly excellent.

Pours a pale dusky yellow. Aromas of lemon and warm spices. Bitter citrus rin finish. Pretty decent. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy, dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of corriander and orange citrus. Taste is light sweet. Citrus and...this tastes like fucking fruity pebbles. I cant get that out of my head and now its all i taste. Light bodied with a relatively thick texture. Lively carbonation but not too long of a finish. Overall, not bad. Reminds me of how a blue moon should taste. jhp40219 (449) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 24, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange with a two finger white head that fades into a ring of bubbles after a minute or so leaving a slight amount of lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and biscuits with a bit of hops in the background. Taste is dulled down citrus (orange and tangerine), biscuits, malts and a hint of hops. This would certainly benefit from a boost in the citrus flavor. I hate to say it, but I would recommend adding a slice of orange to the glass when drinking. Abrupt finish with a very slight malt aftertaste. Thin palate but a decent body and average carbonation. Not bad, but not great either. Certainly not an exemplary white ale, but blows the macro Blue Moon types out of the water.

Light hazy gold, foamy white head. Aroma is orange, coriander, yeast. Taste is orange and wheat, sweet, light yeast, great body and texture. chefrpalo (6) - Granite City, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2013 does not count
Keep passing this up in the grocery store but it keeps calling me back. This is a smooth yet slightly hoppy ale with hints of orange in the finish. Only available in the STL metro area in a variety pack. This would be a good beer to drink with grilled fish glazed in a citrus marinade/tropical fruit salsa and cilantro. rocbyter (2134) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Moderate coriander and maybe allspice aroma. Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Sweet beginning that fades in the finish. Palate is thick in the end. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - MAR 20, 2013
My last new bottle to try in the 2012 spring variety pack. Poured into pint glass a hazy orange-tinged golden color with white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast and citrus spices. Taste is much the same adding coriander and other spices. Light body, moderate carbonation, yeasty sweet finish. Refreshing and easy drinking. Bottle. Has a warm and wheaty taste and aroma. Smooth and mellow overall, but a bit boring. I swear I’d assume it would’ve had a higher score. Solid brew, can’t hardly taste any yeast but it’s there. Good spring ale. 5.5% alcohol.
