Bottle from Ashley. Pours a light golden yellow color with a gentle foamy head. Aroma is nice. Big citrus aroma with pepper and slight funk. Flavor is also big citrus with some tang on the finish. Good. CharmCityCrab (244) - Maryland, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Unfiltered taste with a hint of the texture of the kind of orange juice you can buy with the bits still in or a dash of pepper, with the sweet taste of wheat, orange, tangerine, with smooth light tasting malt. Belgian Whit a notch above the "macro" whit brands (Blue Moon, Shock Top) with more flavor and no adjunct lager back end taste. Still, made to go down nice and easy, very thirst quenching.
Some speculation was that this was going to simply be a repackaging of the Sam Adams White Ale from years past, but the tangerine notes mean it isn’t- plus it seems bit less full bodied and spice mix is a bit different. Still, these are kissing cousins- similar in many respects in terms of the taste and ingredients used, plus I would suspect the same yeast. If you like that, you’ll probably like this. The tangerine at the same time makes it interesting to have as part of the mix pack, but less of a draw as a potential 6er- something that’s a fun thing to have in there to try, but I think one would get sick of fast. Labeling and name isn’t bad- a lot less bland than "White Ale", but not overdone or obnoxious, keeping it classy. arone12 (929) - Maryland, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pours a light hazy yellowish orange color. Smells and tastes a bit of lemon peel. Maybe some grapefruit in the flavor as well. Okay beer. Could use some more wheat! Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Bad label, foggy pear gold brew, thin bubbly head. Danish pastry aroma, yeasty, orange, lightly sweet; has a doggy tone at times. Wow, I really like this. There’s a definite black pepper tone to the beer, and it leans towards being savory. Like pepper on a jammy biscuit; tangy, lightly sweet, honey tones. Biscuity on the lips. Lightish body, crisp. Fresh bottle by JUN 2013. Nose of lemon cleaner with something short of coriander soup, sweet and tangy. Pours hazy yellow with a smooth white head. Taste is sweet, some powdery lemon cleanser, stripping bready-yeasty character to finish. Malt is not very diverse but it’s not expected to be, does its job of support and gets out of the way, of course no hops or bitterness here. Always makes me happy to see Sammy’s commitment to grains of paradise, though they’re not very evident here. Smooth, slightly slick medium-full body.

Pours a cloudy gold with a fleeting white head. The aroma is subtle with hints of wheat, citrus, and corriander. Wheat, ripe oranges, orange peel, lemon zest, and corriander flavors. Light body with medium carbonation. The beer has a tangy juice like mouthfeel and a sweet citrus finish. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 2, 2013
12oz bottle-dissipating tight white-hazy yellow. A-spices-coriander, citrus zest-dried tangerine, wheat, grain. T-earthy spices-coriander, citrus zest-dried tangerine, wheat, grain, slight pepper. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - FEB 2, 2013
12oz bottle: Aroma is tangerine, coriander, yeast, lightly flowery, and an overall nice scent to it. Appearance is a cloudy orange with a medium white head that diminishes into a soapy film. Taste is coriander, fruity, nice spice notes but not overpowering, and a nicely wheat texture. Palate is medium to high carbonation in the mouth with a lingering wheat note in the aftertaste. Overall, Decent stuff, enjoyable to drink and taste good. Cheers! thegreenrooster (4398) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is typical wit beer. Corriander with some wheat malt. Flavor is some wheat malt with a bit of spice. Very thick mouthfeel for a wit. Finish is clean but flavorless. Needs more of the spice mention in the description. It’s ok but not a great example of the style. bpreo (2836) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - FEB 2, 2013
A nice Belgian Witbier. Decent alcohol content. Good enough for Samuel Adams.
