UPDATED: FEB 18, 2015 Not very exciting but it’s a good wheat ale without much anything wrong with it. It could be smoother, earthier, but that’s about it. The real setback is the fact that this tastes like most other Americanized Belgian Whites. That said, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to turn this down if I was offered one. freekyp (2408) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JAN 4, 2014
White Lantern channels the classic witbier style while subtly tweaking certain aspects adding an amped up fruitiness that works well. Medium bodies with sprtizy carbonation cleanses the palate between each sip. Coriander is strong in the fade. The nose is somewhat vegetal, however. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, thin white head.
T- Notes of lemon, orange and coriander.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth citrusy finish.
O- Reminds me of a Hoegaarden with less spice and more citrus. A very refreshing offering from Sam Adams.

Slightly hazed straw yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is faint and floral with coriander, lemon and toasted malt. Taste is sweet and spicy with citrus, lemon peel, pale malt and grains. obguthr (6654) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Lemon lime and coriander nose. Hazy golden, medium head. Fizzy . Stale malt and unmalted barley flavor, wheat bread crust, lemon, coriander. Spicier and fruitier than Shock Top, maltier than Blue Moon, eerily similar quality though. I have defended Boston Beer’s craft brewery status for years against those who suggest they should no longer be considered craft. Despite it’s size, Boston Beer has continued to make quality beer in a variety of interesting styles. This beer, however, makes me at least consider if they haven’t sold out. jcr (2763) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - NOV 24, 2013
