COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian style white ales have a long history of unique ingredients, as brewers experimented with spices discovered during the spice trade. For our hazy brew we found a refreshing combination of crisp wheat, the tangy sweetness of tangerine & orange peel, and the subtle spiciness of coriander & grains of paradise. Cheers!

Bottled - Orangey golden haze. Aroma is lots of spicyness and wheat. Taste is your typical Sam Adams wheat with coriander and a spicy finish. Overall very nice. -optemoz

Bottle. Pours a hazed gold with a medium to large dense white head. Big sweet citrus fruits, oranges and some lovely floral musk. Medium bodied, sweet tangerine coming through in a big way. Very clean and easy drinking, lots of lovely muskiness. Smooth musk into the finish with more tangerine. If this was presented to be me blind as a tangerine wit I’d have loved it, so I can’t knock it down because Sam Adams made it and I usually end up disappointed by their stuff. Well done.

Also part of the spring sampler, this Belgian white is a good beer. It is true to style with the orange and coriander flavors and has a crispness to it. It has a pretty good color and big head typical of these beers.it is a very solid beer and worth trying.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 I am surprised by the low ratings. This beer is quite good for a wit with spice. Pours a cloudy light gold with a fair head that has low lacing that dissipates quickly. Not much nose, but there is slight floral sweetness present. Balance is outstanding with a stylistic mouthfeel. It finishes with a burst of spice, as intended, with no hop bitterness aftertaste. This a very good summer ale - quite drinkable.

Bottle from Spring Thaw Variety Pack. Clear orange pour. Big aroma of orange juice, yeast, bergamot. High carbonation, creamy palate. The flavor is wheat with juicy citrus, apricot, belgian yeast, coriander, white pepper, and prominent grains of paradise. Not really wit - like, but really nice fruit, wheat , and spice palate. A lot going on here.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Nose is peaches, straw, bread. Palate is very stingy, tongue lashing, with a light felt finish. Lightly sweet with flavors of peaches, pepper, light spiciness and bread. Dry finish with just a touch of umami. Like it.

Love the subtle coriander aroma. Milky gold color. Leaves a thin head. Tangy peppery spice taste. A touch of sourness in the finish. Quite enjoyable.

This is the beer blue moon wants to be. Murky amber color with no real head. Grapefruit and hops in the nose. Mainly citrus flavors with a hint of sweet fruit and a nice bit of refreshing hops. This is a solid beet that I am very satisfied drinking.

Appearance: cloudy orangey gold with one finger of bright white head shrinking to a creamy cap, with generous lace curtains. Aroma: marmalade, cracked wheat, yeast, and a bit of white peppercorn. Taste: a bit like orangina, with apricots, tangerine, and a grainy wheat cracker note over some pepper, coriander and general spice. Finish: tangy, slightly sweet, with a zingy combo of carbonation and spice to freshen the very end. Notes: Surprisingly excellent.
