Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Hazy orange-gold with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Nose is faint apricot and hops. Rich mouthfeel. Very bitter. Mildly sweet and fruity. Light sour. Some bread aroma. Improves as it warms up. Would’ve rated it higher if it weren’t so bitter.

ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - APR 30, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a slightly murky gold colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is fairly hoppy smelling with some citrus. The taste is heavy on citrus (a good thing) and has a small hop bite.

oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 25, 2016
Pours a nice deep amber color. Aromas of hops/caramel/citrus. Strong hop flavors with malts and a nice finish.

Bottle. A dark straw golden color with a white head. Hoppy citrus notes with a moderate bitterness level.

Cajun (539) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - APR 9, 2016
12oz bottle - Pours a golden yellow/orange...with a white head. Fruity nose. Some sour dough and grapefruit in the first sip...with a grassy bitter hops finish. Better than some.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 Not the worst thing I’ve drank but not a fan of most IPAs, so take this rating for what its worth. A little low ABV for an IPA. As a wheat beer, I was hoping to have some of that flavor, but the hops just overpower it.

GarrettB (1639) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 15, 2016
May 2nd, 2014 - Part of a Samuel Adams box from Costco, the Whitewater IPA is better than most common across-the-US availability style IPAs, bright and with an orange glow, and a fairly standard head. A flowery hops defines the aroma (appropriate for Springtime), and the flavor expresses on the sweeter side, though clearly with a hop side, too. The aftertaste is long and lingering, inviting the sipper to savor, and for what it’s worth, I’m pleased that this gentle IPA occupies so much real estate in my Samuel Adams beer box.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz Flasche. Trübes orangefarbenes Bier mit festem Schaum. Kräuter, gewürze und Hefeduft mit fruchtiger Nuance. Toller Geschmack. Erst die Gewürze, dann die Hefe und im Abgang die leicht bittere Aprikose. Ungewöhnlich!
