Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy with white head that stays. Taste was bitter. Not a favorite.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange with things white head of tight white bubbles. Lacing is nice. Sweet and spicy aroma. Flavors are more spicy and just a hint of fruity sweetness.

Thick beverage with an interesting tart bitterness. Too heavy on the apricots and too much perfume to be worth returning to.

Pours cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma is citrus and pine with yeasty fruitiness. Flavor starts a grainy malt followed with some fruit and citrus flavors. Finishing with pine and yeast spiciness.

Interesting combination of the wheat beer and the IPA hops. It’s good and very easy to drink. Works well in their mix IPA hopology six pack but I wouldn’t seek it out individually.

Pours hazy rich gold with a very foamy, leggy head. Aroma is floral, orange and pine with a touch of spice. Very nice. Taste starts short but gains some depth with warming. Leads with bitter notes flavors of piney hope, grapefruit citrus, pepper. Apricot and spices linger. Pretty damn good.

"great concept, so so execution. wit, ipa, and fruit flavors combine for a tasty brew that would be better suited for late spring or summer than the first week of winter. sa white is not a favorite...the ipa aroma and bitter flavor are done fairly well, the sweet apricot maybe masks some complexity and with 3 things going on at the same time, it’s a little muddled. that said, it nice, but i had hogh hopes."

Pours out to a creamy white head that laces. Color is a hazy yellow-orange. Aroma is fruity and citrus and pine as you would expect. it smells great. Flavor is what you would e expect from an apricot IPA and more: complex fruits, malts, and hop flavors of pine, apricot. Good call.
