COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Cloudy golden beer with a white head. Aromas of fresh fruit, and pine. Tastes of coriander, lemon zest, moderate amounts of pine hops, and a very noticeable apricot finish. A bit spicy, and not as malty as other IPAs. Extremely smooth, and refreshing. Very tasty, and well crafted.

Coriander, orange peel, thyme,, lemon grass, and even a little cat pee on the nose, good strength. Cloudy amber, medium head. Orange peel and lemongrass flavor, again nice intensity. Finishes malty and grassy. Good level of bitterness. Very good interpretation of a "white IPA" More IPA than white, like 85/15, and that’s probably a very good ratio.

I have to say, I loved this beer. One of my favorites by Sam Adams. Came in a spring variety pack. The aroma quickly pulls you in. It’s got an IPA nose that’s packed with clean hop nose but with something added. There is an unmistakable apricot and spice (maybe coriander) that stays with you until you taste the same flavors. Appearance is a slightly hazy yellow with a nice frothey white head. It’s a very clean and pretty brew. Taste is where this beer really stands out. I usually don’t like fruit flavored beers - with some notable exceptions. However, the apricot and wheat combined with the pine and hop forward flavors really combine well. It’s refreshing and hearty all at once. It’s a light bodied beer and a bit sticky in it’s texture. Decent carbonation throughout and the finish really draws out the pine and apricot to attack the taste buds. Overall, not sure this is really an IPA, though it’s not a "wheat" beer either. They’ve come up with something that draws in the best of both styles and leaves you wanting more. Very drinkable and smooth. Love it.

Bottle: pours a hazy yellow with large white head. Hoppy floral pine, dusty spice and a buttery caramel on the nose. Floral tart bitter grapefruit dominates initially but turns quickly into a mild apricot and caramel at the back end. Palate starts tart, bitter moving slightly toward sweet in the end. Overall, I liked it but took 2 styles I really like and made 1 ok to good beer. I would drink it again but would not go out of the way to look for this one.

Very nice offering from Sam Adams Poured cloudy orange as you would expect from a Hef but a tad darker Aroma was apricot and slight city’s Head was typical Sam Adams nice thick head that hung around a bit with nice lacing Mouth freel pretty good Etta good carbonation Foretaste was slight apricots blending in to some citrus notes finishing with some nice bitter hops Definitely not a wimpy beer and hopheads will be satisfied Most definitely I’ll get this again and would like to see it in tap

Bottle. White head on a very hazy darker peach juice orange. Bit of pine and citrus and dried apricot in the aroma. Touch of pine, slight dried apricot, some grass and relatively dry. Slight pine in the finish. Medium chalky body.

12oz bottle pours hazy yellows/orange color. Smallish white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is of dried fruit and pine and grassy hops. Crisp clean aroma. Flavor is the same of dried fruit and that wonderful bitterness of the pine and grassy hops. Peachy/apricot flavors are clean and not muted with other flavors. Good summer beer.

Hazy golden color with foamy head. Crisp pine and citrusy aroma. Light hoppy bitternes with hints of cirtus. Clean tasting and refreshing. Flavor lingers on the palate for a while. Enjoyable beer.

Not a bad IPA, but certainly not one of the best. I don’t mind haze, but the sediment floating around was a bit off-putting. Also, the mouthfeel was watery.

Aroma is nice notes of coriander/citrus white and mild hoppy ale; very nice pour with hazy cloudy beer and frotyhy white head; taste is well balanced notes of white ale with citrus hoppy flavors and bitterness. Very nice hybrid brew
