UPDATED: OCT 9, 2014 Nose is lemony hops, apricots, and light bready malt. Taste begins with citrusy hops, which is followed by notes of apricots, spice, and malt. Finish is long and dry. Mouthfeel is dense and sticky with light carbonation. Overall a nicely balanced beer. SamP01 (668) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 31, 2012
A hazy orange amber with a good medium lasting beige head, with good lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt citrus, light yeast, piney hops, grapefruit with some apricot notes fill the senses. Taste is of fruity citrusy notes, some light yeast, followed by some citrusy piney hops, grapefruit and some apricot flavors. A nice medium body with good carbonation and crisp mouth feel on the palate. Finishes with a sweet biscuit malt, fruity citrus and apricot flavors, some light yeast, ending with some good slightly spicy citrusy piney hops for balance. Overall a well done, tasty and nicely balanced IPA.

This was delicious. Better than the satanic variation that was also just released. Aggressive hopping and clean profile with a touch of sweet apricot makes it enjoyable and drinkable.

Cloudy, bright yellow...tall fluffy white head.
Scent is herbal, hoppy.
Flavour is also well hopped, piney, grassy.
Very crisp and light. a nice springy feel to it. weihenweizen (4111) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours hazy golden with white head. Some lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, and light grapefruit aroma. Taste is grapefruit, some pine, hint of apricot, and bitter hop finish. OK.

Thanks Chipalsa. Bottle into snifter. The aromas are dense and packed with citrus aromas including grapefruit and orange plus some apricot. There is a touch of pine and a combined aroma of what I call well water aroma. Very nice. This one pours very hazy orange with tons of yeast swimming around in there. A white head with lacing that hung on for dear life. Tastes are similar with notes of citrus and apricot. I get some bready notes on the finish and a slight caramel malt touch. Not a bad ipa at all. Don’t be fooled by the haters. BVery (11361) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 27, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Hazy orange pour, white head. Nose is grapefruit and some apricot. Medium mouthfeel, good carbonation. Taste is dominated by apricot, and balanced by citrus hop bitterness. This is good stuff. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - MAR 27, 2012
Bottle. Citrus hop and apricot aroma. Hazy orange with a moderate white head. Bitter piney hops flavor. No significant fruit flavor...just heavy harsh hops with no balance. cheap (6085) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2012
According to the label, this should be a fruit beer; apricots and such. Smell is dull ipa. Foamy head hazy hefe lookin thing. Fruit and spices have very little effect on this ipa-ish brew and now I know why its in that style, wew. Bitter strong medicine and now I see little sediment chunks floating around in there. Much stronger than the description would lead you to think. Not sure if any white ale can be tasted with that overwhelming ipa character, borders on double ipa. Same with the finish, its like a bulldozer.Feels like more than 6%. Not for a lager lover fer sure. Yes, long bitter astringent nasty nellie soapy finish. whew yesyouam (1016) - Fairport, New York, USA - MAR 27, 2012
Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA is a very cloudy sparkling golden ale. The dense, white foam has great retention and lacing. It has a bright citrus aroma with orange and pine. It’s medium bodied and a little starchy throughout. The finish is dry. It’s not as hoppy as the aroma led me to believe, but suitably bitter. There are flavors of orange, pine and wheat with a hint of apricot and pine resin at the finish. It’s really solid and the flavors pull together really well.
