Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Nice. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus, apricots, and spice. The taste is fruity and really well balanced; not too sweet, not too bitter. Medium bodied and refreshing.

On tap. IPA? No. Good though. Pours with a hazed golden hue with a white head that leaves good lace. Aromas are of peach (or apricots), stone fruit, curacao orange, white pepper, ginger, mild coriander and bready malt. Tons of esters or fruit. Minimal IPA hop character (as far as a dry hop grassy note or anything of that nature). Flavors are of coriander, peach or stone fruit of some sort, pepper, lots of esters, mild bitterness, and a touch of yeast acidity. Lively bubbles, dry and quite floral. I was surprised that I enjoyed this as much as I did.

12oz bottle bottle poured into a large Duvel tulip glass. Aroma is way more Belgian wit than IPA. Belgian yeast, slight apricot, coriander and some spices. Taste comes across mostly the same with a slight hop aftertaste that stops it from being a full blown witbier. Despite the confusion, this is an refreshing enjoyable beer.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Nice floral nose with citrus notes. Taste is a little pepper with a nice hop bite. Finish is bitter and you can taste some of the apricot sweetness in there. Better than normal Sam Adams.

bottle pours a pale hazy orange with fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, some floral hops. Flavor has some lemony wheat to it, with touches of citrus fruit, and a dry finish. Medium bodied. Lasting bitterness on the finish. Pretty good.

Bottle from Albertsons. Hazy with a bit of debris floating around. Nose is pretty hoppy. Dry peppery hop character. Some grapefruit peel. Tastes like an IPA to me. I wouldn’t think it was anything else.

Hazy yellow orange with a small white head. Wit yeast, bread, banana, some pine and very subdued apricot in the aroma. The flavor has a lot of wit characteristics upfront, with a piney, hoppy, somewhat bitter back end. The bitterness comes off a little harsh. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Decent, but not great.

Hazy yellow with a solid white head. Aroma is citrusy hops with a bit of resin. Run of the mill IPA, but very drinkable with a slightly malty finish.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2016 Thanks to Sean for this. Hazy light yellow color. Fresh piney hops that turn a bit citrusly later. Sweet notes from the Apricot but not bursting with fruit flavors. Not totally my thing but it is good for what it is. Serving: Bottle

This is pretty good. Looks like a wheat beer, but has the definite hop flavor of an IPA. With a sharp dryness and a bit of fruitiness. A different type of IPA but good.
